Our mission is simple - to put the needs of our patients first; from this, all else follows. We've put a great deal of thought into making your pet as comfortable and safe as possible while in our care and we designed our clinic and built our staff team with those concepts in mind; everything from our separate waiting rooms and hospital wards for dogs and cats to our calming blue color scheme and use of natural lighting.
Our state of the art equipment such as a digital x-ray machine, which means no more long waits for x-rays to develop, and our heated surgery table providing additional comfort to the animal, allow us to provide better care. Our facility boasts a medical laser used for healing and pain management - giving you and your pet more treatment options.

I found a kitty that had a broken jaw. West side was able to take the kitty that day. When I called the next day they were eager to get me an update on the kitty. Found out they were going to do more work later so they told me I could call back this afternoon for another update. They were so friendly and genuinely cared which helped put me at ease.

Nothing but the best! My dog recently needed an emergency surgery and my previous vet would not perform the operation after hours. I called Westside and they were more than willing to do the procedure and took more care of him then I felt they needed to. I have never seen such compassion for an animal they had never met! My dog is part of my family and they treated both him and me as such. I feel like if I had taken my boy anywhere else he would not be with me today. Great people who actually care and go above and beyond what they are required to do.

I recently had my dogs neutered and spayed at West side and had a wonderful experience. Dr Louis is one of the most caring and compassionate veterinarians that I have ever met. She took time out of her busy schedule to call me and answer many of my questions. She truly cares. After the procedure I called in and the staff was amazing by calming my anxieties and answering all my many questions. They called and texted afterwords making sure everything was OK. They are very talented and good at what they do. My puppies were in excellent hands and so cared for. All of the staff is very knowledgeable

I don't know where to begin....Dr. Louis and her staff are the absolute best! They are kind, caring, and what really impresses me is that Dr. Louis, herself, will return calls to you and talk to you at length regarding your concerns. Not only during office hours, but evenings and weekends as well. This is Chip..... Dr. Louis has been helping us try and get to the bottom of a chronic infection on his paw for the past three months. Chip previously had a mast cell tumor on the same paw, so Dr. Louis has made calls to the U of M Oncology Department for their input. She is so knowledgeable and goes
