During this initial appointment, we will review your current symptoms and your history of mental health symptoms. The patient and provider will work together to develop a treatment plan and prescribe medications if appropriate. Prior to this appointment we ask that you provide any records from previous providers and complete our new patient documents at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Our story begins with a passion for improving the quality of life for those who have been impacted by mental health issues. We have devoted ourselves to finding a better way to make mental health care accessible, but more importantly, improving the discussion about mental wellness. We believe mental health is foundational to relationships, career goals, academic success and an overall high quality of life.

My sister, who couldn’t afford anymore appointments after July, was denied a note for college. Apparently “that’s not something they do.” She started her first semester without taking any medication for the first time in 2 years. So she ended up finishing the semester with a gpa below 3.00 . Now she’s getting her financial aid cut because she couldn’t get a note from her most recent health provider to explain her low state of mind. Then they call her telling her, she can call to schedule an appointment. Why would she make an appointment with an office that couldn’t even give her a

I felt as though I was being judged. He should be a little more upfront about how many medications some people have to go through in order to find one that works. Things like that cost a lot of money. Not everyone can afford that. He should be more sensitive around women who have experienced abuse. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Men don't get it. It is my fault for assuming that they could.

Absolutely, singlehandedly the most life changing place for our family. From day one Alex provided compassion to a degree we haven’t seen before with our child and to see where we are just several months later is truly a testament of his approach to his clients. Leading with intimate discussion vs bottles of medicine in a society that is the opposite, the results are astounding. Our child who was antisocial is now engaged with old & new friends, participating in school at a level we knew was always inside! In a season of thanks, we give just that! Thank you Alex and everyone at Balance Behavioral

Alex is gentle but knowledgeable in techniques that helped us to work through my husband's healing. I will be forever grateful for him.
This practice is exactly what we were looking for during a very difficult time: a supportive, non-judgmental, safe place. I did thorough research about psychologists, therapists, and psychiatrists in the area before making an appointment with Alex and I could not be more pleased with the decision. He also has the most convenient hours, evening and weekend hours were a MUST for our hectic schedules. He's also responsive; I reached out several times in between appointments
