Village Counseling Service
Welcome to Village Counseling Services, a professional group of independently licensed psychologists, psychotherapists, advanced practice psychiatric nurses and board certified psychiatrists. We have been providing client-centered, evidence-based treatment to the greater Lawrenceville/Princeton community since 1996.

In a private, warm, supportive space we work with children, adolescents and adults seeking treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns. We provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, medication management and two highly effective structured treatment programs - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Services
At Village Counseling Services we are a diverse group of independent professionally licensed and board certified practitioners. Elizabeth Alberts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founding director of Village Counseling Services. Elizabeth brings both an informed and heart-centered voice to the nature and meaning of healing.
Subsequently, each psychotherapist and psychologist manages his/her own appointment schedule. Contact them directly to schedule appointments. To schedule, cancel or reschedule a follow-up appointment for medication leave a message on extension 718 and we will get back to you. Cancellation of appointments is requested with 48 hours' notice in order to avoid being charged a fee.
Recognizing the symptoms of anxiety and depression is a first step that will lead to healing. Many mental health organizations have internet sites that provide patient information. The following links are neither endorsed nor controlled by Village Counseling Services, P.C., or the clinicians that they support and we are not responsible for content provided on these sites.
Our clinicians do not answer their phones when they are with clients. They monitor their voicemails and emails frequently and make every effort to respond within 24 hours, with the exception of weekends and holidays. Each practitioner has a telephone extension with confidential voicemail, and can be reached at 609-844-0452.

I was intimidated not to leave this review but in good conscience I am obligated. Phone lines are not confidential and so called DBT team doesn't function as a team. My honesty and forthrightfulnesss was abused. Be ware of MO of their therapists in certain situations. Ethics and transparency were in conflict. Not a pleasant experience . One that I will always regret.

I've had such a worthwhile and life changing experience with Village. My family is forever grateful to our therapist and the entire staff. With everything that's happened this year, I can't imagine where we'd be without their support. When we had billing questions we found them to be prompt and helpful. I just can't say enough about them!!

My therapist at Village Counseling Services has been a great help to my wife and I over the past few years. I am not one to write reviews often, but I am happy to give Village 5 stars.

I found my therapist, Kristina Rago, to be very helpful. However, I found the billing department to be completely disorganized, unhelpful, and not friendly. If you go here, pay only with cash or checks. Do NOT allow them to charge your credit card.
