From the minute we walked in till we left, the staff seams to not really know what's going on! We made an online reservation that was lost. Not a problem just put us on the list. We didn't hear anything for 20 or so minutes so I go up to the hostess, she politely asked can I help you? I said yes can you tell me about how much longer the wait is? Her response was that she didn't have a reservation under my name and would I like to be put on her waiting list..... at this point I laughed, your kidding right? No mam I nicely reminded her of our conversation but only a meer 30

We stayed at Shearwater Inn for our anniversary weekend, and we were glad to have found this gem! Maureen and her husband are proud owners, and it shows. The room was immaculate, and beautifully decorated. Everything down to the finest details are incorporated into your room--there is nothing that you need! The breakfasts are delicious as well, and Maureen is eager to make any adjustments given your preferences. We were thankful that Maureen gave us a beach pass for our vehicle which saved us about $30. Would recommend to a friend and will certainly come back!

We spent a couple of nights in the Hampton's and really loved the Shearwater Inn.
Maureen (the owner) was excellent... supremely helpful with advice on where to eat, where to go and what to do - and you should be aware that beach parking passes are provided too (you can pay $20-$40 a day parking at the beach, so these are a welcome inclusion in your room rate!).
The inn is a beautiful property that was custom built as a B&B and has a large open plan sitting room and dining area as well as wonderfully clean and cared for rooms with soft sheets and comfy beds...
Breakfast was excellent
