Dr. Mario Bustamante is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon serving the San Antonio Metropolitan Area and surrounding counties for over 30 years. He was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, where he attended medical school and graduated first in his class from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey.
When you arrive to your first appointment, we will also have you submit a patient health history. You can download and print out forms, bring them to the office, mail them, or fax them to our office. Bring a referral authorization from your primary care provider, if your insurance requires. Bring all previous x-rays, CAT scans, MRI scans, or other test results relating to your medical problem.

Bustamante needs to lighten his load. It’s very dirty and unsanitary.
Very unprofessional. Takes hours to be seen. Doesn’t take you serious. I called for help and the supervisor had the audacity to ask why I’m going there. (It’s obvious I’m hurt)
They don’t take patients needs and health into consideration. They do the minimum and will make sure to try and charge you for imaging when you already had one.
I had an MRI taken and the doctor didn’t even look at it. I literally called and called until I spoke to someone. The staff is rude and unprofessional.
Run for your life. Cause

Didn't want to even give this one star but in order to get on here and post is the only reason for this undeserved star. My mother was in the hospital and this unprofessional man just walks into the room and asked her how was she doing. The physical therapist said he was the orthopedic doctor. He looked at my mother's feet/legs and just said ok. The physical therapist that was in there mentioned that her foot was swollen he said oh its not too bad. I then said well its not normal if you can see her other foot is not swollen. I then had to ask him and your doc who? he Bustamante then just walked

This doctor is complete trash do not see this doctor, other doctors even told me I should of went some where else, the staff is terrible, very unorganized, I would wait 3 hours to be seen, i wish he never did my surgery, He messed up my knee and when I got surgery from another Dr they told me Bustamante left a FOREIGN OBJECT INSIDE ME!!I advise anyone to look else where when searching for a doc do not go here. I don’t know how he hasn’t had his licensed taken away yet!

Very good surgeon doctor.does his work very profesionaly and very hard work him.and.his staff are.number 1 and they treat patients.very nice and they are very thankful. And if patients weight a little.more.longer is becsuse Dr. Bustamante wants to make.sure evry single of. His.patients they are gething we'll. If I could score the staff and Dr Bustamante a negative star rating I would. Stay away!! At all cost!..from the incompetent staff to the total disregard of his patients time. On 5 or more separate occasions we are left to wait close to 2 hours pasted or scheduled appointment time. Beyond that the surgery that was performed 2 years ago continues to have complications..from the surgery? Who knows!! he has yet to figure anything out. My advice to you is stay as far away from this place as possible.

Dr. Bustamante is a very busy doctor because he is one of the best in town, he is worth the wait. My father is 88 yrs. old and has worn out knees and lower back, Dr. Bustamante is his miracle worker, Daddy can actually walk around and bear the pain after his visits to Dr. Bustamante. His entire staff is just as kind as he is, they all merge together as a great team and I like going there, I feel at home in his office.

Although it takes awhile at his office I realize that he is only one man and see about 70 patients a day if not more. so I know its going to take time. what people don't realize is that its a doctors office not a fast food place so it going to take time .people also need to understand he takes his time with every patient so they get a good understand about there injury. i would rather have a doctor take his time with me and let me know about my injury then to just rush .so if your looking for a doctor that loves what he does and wants the best for his patients and does amazing work then Doctor
