Bridges Therapy and Wellness Center was founded by Clinical Psychologists Erika Shilling, Ph. D. and Michelle Mullaley, Ph. D. In addition to us, we have a diverse clinical staff with expertise in many areas offering services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Please visit the Meet Our Team page to learn more about each clinician.

We believe caring for one's mental health is an integrative, whole-body experience. Therefore, along with high quality psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and psychiatric services, we believe in helping clients integrate positive lifestyle practices into their daily lives. We incorporate opportunities to learn about nutrition, meditation and mindfulness.
Services
In our increasingly complex world, there are many challenges which feel overwhelming or very difficult to manage. This can lead to upsetting thoughts and uncomfortable feelings of anxiety, sadness or frustration and anger.

It can often feel as though you are stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaving and interacting with others, and find it increasingly hard to know how to break free from these and begin to engage in a healthier, more productive lifestyle.
Everyone has a story that brings us to this moment. We may find ourselves entering therapy, or seeking a psychological evaluation, for a variety of reasons. We may experience significant life stressors or transitions we were not prepared to cope with. At times we may simply have negative or distorted thoughts that can contribute to depression, anxiety, or other overwhelming emotions.
If you're a teen, young adult or parent, struggling with mood, anxiety, self-esteem or relationship problems, you no doubt know there is an easier way to navigate your current challenges. But you may not know how to cope with your emotions, why certain situations are so upsetting to you, or what you really want out of your life.
I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important tools towards healing. A collaborative relationship with my clients helps them overcome their personal struggles in the safe and warm environment I create.

I work with clients in a way that is compassionate and client-centered, and integrates approaches that include elements of cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, person-centered, interpersonal, and systems approaches to promote the unique individual strengths of my clients.More importantly my approaches are tailored to the specific needs of individuals and families to help them achieve balance in their lives and overcome their struggles.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and can result in difficulties managing social and academic demands, or create emotions or behaviors that are hard to control. Luckily, these challenges don't always have to have a negative impact on your or your child's quality of life ~ they can improve.

In my work as a psychologist, I have helped children, teens, and young adults who are navigating various aspects of life to live more happily or productively, including families of young children with developmental concerns, children with academic or social challenges, or those with difficult emotions or behaviors that have created barriers to successful relationships.
