Essex Podiatry Associates was founded in 1977 by Dr. Neil E. Goldberg and Dr. Jeffrey N. Kaplan. Both doctors are graduates of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, which is now part of Temple University. We opened our practice following residencies at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.

Proper stretching is vital to injury prevention, specifically, a minimum of 15 minutes before beginning exercise. Artificial surfaces, improper footwear, and inadequate stretching are recipes for disaster. Make sure to wear proper shoes and stretch for at least 15 minutes before playing sports.
