Shawn E. Hall brings her Gypsy Style to this small town cafe with warmth and charm. With a focus on "Made from Scratch" comfort food, the menu reflects the flavors of her many world travels. The cafe itself is named after Shawn's mom who was adopted and never knew her cultural roots. This legacy led Shawn to dream and explore many places her mother might be from, always returning from each trip with new recipes and memories to share.

Had a family lunch there. It was a very popular place to eat. Service was great. Everyone left full, and very happy. Kid's loved it.

Wow, loved the food!! The service was cheerful, timely, and efficient but the FOOD. I can't wait to go back.

We DEVOURED the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich $15- tender chicken, fresh bread?, so good, and the Chicken and Waffles $16, delicately fried chicken breast and the waffles were HOT and served with Sriracha cream and Maple Syrup Butter whaaaaaaat???? so good. Also good black coffee.

We arrived near the end of lunch service (with no side glances from the staff) but I imagine this place must get crowded at rush hour, so good.

The Tuscan Grilled Chicken Sandwich is amazing! I love crust of Parmesan on the outside of the bread. All 4 of us enjoyed our food. Cute cafe, friendly staff. I would definitely go again if back in the area.

Sebastopol is in no shortage of hangout spots and great food, but even there the Gypsy Cafe stands out as on of our favourite spots for a casual outing.
Excellent food, coffee and service. The Chilaquiles are amazing. And the staff is amazing. Grab a seat outside, people-watch and enjoy a nice quality meal. Can't go wrong with their menu.

Really fresh ingridients and very well prepared. Not a lot of protein options for vegans but vegetarians will have no problem. The grilled veggie sandwich was sooooo yummy. Decor is fun

Yum!! We were worried about getting in here for brunch on a Saturday but we got there around 11am and instantly snagged a table for 3.
The three of us shared a TON of food - chicken fried portobello, biscuit and gravy, bacon, and blueberry pancakes. Oh and mimosas!
Everything was delicious. I particularly loved the blueberry pancakes and I'm NOT a pancake person! Friendly service, good attitude, casual ambiance. I'd definitely come back.

Have eaten here before and liked the food and surroundings. Old Pine Cone location, ate there many times in the past long ago. Usually I do not give reviews but in this case for me I will speak to a certain dish I had today. Eggs Benedict, I would never imagine so much grease in this dish. Actually coated my mouth. Also served over potatoes and not over an english muffin. Maybe that was the cause of the grease. Taste was off and the Hollandaise Sauce had little flavor. A dissapointment.
Will I go back? Yes! Their BLT is really good.

We showed up in person for lunchThey forgot to put our Order in. Mistakes to happen, but we weren't offered anything for a future visit :-( :-(Nice staff but seem very overworked. It looks like they have a lot of to go orders.
So very disappointed it was my partners birthday we walked out. Just be sure your orders in when you go here.

Went there for Sunday brunch yesterday because I read the positive reviews. I was dining solo. The waiter seemed to go out of his way to be unwelcoming, rude and disrespectful It Made for an unenjoyable experience.

Quaint back patio, good quality food, and lovely staff make this a local favorite. Potato cakes are so-so.

Overdue review. We first tried the Gypsy Cafe in 2018 and finally made it back. It was worth the drive in from the coast to Sebastopol.

On both occasions we ordered the chilaquiles breakfast. Their sauce is addictive. We both cleaned our plates.

Service was prompt and friendly. Our waiter checked on us and refilled water and coffee. Clean and spacious place, overall very cute.

I want so much to like this place but this morning was a disappointment. We sat down and got coffees and water but we needed time to look at the menu. It appears as though someone may have a flower arranging gig there? All the wait staff was then loading a car with flower arrangements. I had to flag someone down (not our waiter, host?) to take our order. It seemed as though customers were no longer priority. It was just tacky. We finally orders and waited longer than seemed necessary for our breakfast, as the place was not crowded. Again, these things were not huge deals but it did seem so tacky

Didn’t feel super welcoming and food was nothing special. Regarding service - others were offered patio seating including in the back, coffee refills more often, etc but we were not. Had to ask for a high chair after struggling to hold and feed the baby. Regarding food - veggie wrap was bland and first coffee tasted burnt. Chilliquiles was good.

I had a hard time choosing what to order...everything sounded scrumptious! I ended up ordering the Chilaquiles...it had the perfect amount of heat and I didn't leave feeling it was too rich or greasy. I recommend this little gem!

Based on one COVID visits.

We rate this a "sure. Go for it."

Where do they get such great tomatoes in November?

I had the burger. Very nicely done. The veggie Benedict is ok. The hollandaise tastes a bit like mayonnaise. The side salad is a mix of some ok-veggies.

In short, the food is presented well ... it looks good on the plate and the staff presents well. For us, the food design is just ok. Not terrible at all! But not write home about.

Great place! The service is wonderful. The food is excellent. It was challenging to figure out what to order because everything on the menu sounded delicious then they tell you the specials, and now you're just more confused because you want to try it all!

We finally settled on:

Gypsy Combo with 2 eggs, potato cake, French toast and a choice between bacon or sausage. (What's a potato cake? Is their version of hash browns.) We ordered this because of the potato cake and the French toast. Great combo.

Fried Chicken Sandwich (no bun) with Cream of Tomato soup. Wow! The chicken was moist

So my BFF owns a vacation home in Sebastapol and we pretty much have breakfast here every time I visit, which is quite a bit. The one thing I love about Gypsy Cafe is the consistency - every time I come here I order one of two things and it's always delicious and exactly as I remember it. The service is also always friendly and helpful.

You really can't go wrong at Gypsy Cafe. Be sure to try the huevos rancheros or the sebastapol - both will hit the spot!

We got gluten free blueberry pancakes, a side of chorizo, and a lemon ginger digestive. Service was pleasant in the beginning but rushed me in the end :( kind of popping my bubble of happiness not to mention the syrup was fake!! Not sure if I'll come back...
