We are a privately owned welding and fabrication company founded in 2018. The owner Alvon Portis has over 20 years experience in the commercial and residential building industry that evolved into a full time steel, aluminum and metallurgical producer. Today we successfully manage projects in Alabama, Mississippi and parts of florida.

This place was recommended to fix a broken leaf spring bracket on our RV. Called at 7:30 am - said he’d be there in 30 minutes. Called 9:00 am - “on my way”. Called at noon: “be there really soon.” Called 1:10 pm: “where are you at? On my way”. Called 1:30 pm: no answer. Called a different provider - arrived in 20 minutes and fixed the problem. If I could rate a negative 10, I would. Don’t use this business.

I was looking for a welder in Fairhope and came across AMP Welding & Metal Fabrication. Mr. Portis, the owner, came out and looked at my project and gave me a quote on the spot. The price was right, so I said go ahead. After he finished my wife asked if he could repair our metal gate. He could and did. We found out he could use a laser cutting machine to make signs and weld anything, even aluminum. Now that we know that he does quality work we will keep his number handy for any other welding or metal working jobs we need done.

Met the owner of AMP Welding and found out he had a CNC Laser cutter. I had a bunch of metal sign ideas and he helped me by with the sign cutting. He also built a great metal handicap ramp for my mothet-in-law. I believe he can weld anything or fabricate anything. He's in Daphne, but works from Mobile to Pensacola. Great quality, great customer service and a fair price.
