I didn’t realize that Coronado Inn had a split location across the street called the Island Inn. It’s nice. Just what you need with a microwave and fridge. I tell you that part because I didn’t realize I could’ve brought microwaveable snacks. The village is very pedestrian friendly. Lots to see and do. Get your steps in and check out the unique homes in the area. Champagne dreams. Lol. Then take the ferry boat to Sam Diego.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in.
The website lies, there is no breakfast.
The first room they checked me into
1, Had that funky old smell.
2, Pulled back the cover/blanket, off the bed. Sheets were stained, had holes, bottom sheet was a flat sheet, that was not large enough to be fully tucked in.
3, No mattress cover over the stained mattress.
4, You could feel each spring in the mattress, every time moving the bed squeaked.
5, Air Conditioner was falling apart.
Day 2.
Requested a change of room.
The next room was a smidge better, if you don't mind a fly in your ice bucket

Dirty at check in (stains on towels/sheets, someone else's hair on faucet) and refused to clean it since we did not give 24 hour notice. They did not seem to care it was dirty when we checked in. Set up next day cleaning and they did not get it done. Finally got it cleaned but they left the hair for us on the faucet. Multiple parking mix ups, had to move a few times since it seems they over-booked. Do not recommend and will not return.

It's what I would expect for a beach hotel. Definitely not luxury, which is fine. It was clean, we felt safe. My biggest complaint would be construction. They are working on 2 units next to us and above us. No afternoon naps bcz of all the banging. Management could have put us in a room away from the noise. Parking is terrible, but it's California, so... I would stay again, but away from the construction.

Excellent place to stay. The price is amazing and affordable. I was nervous after reading reviews of it being old and not up to date. It is older but anything that can be updated was. There was a microwave, fridge, heater, ac unit, and tv. There was soap and shampoo/conditioner. I read a lot about trouble with hot water. The hot water worked in our room it just took a very long time to heat up. The staff was super friendly and ready to help. This is part of the Coronado inn so you do have to check in and check out there. The one complaint I have is there wasn’t any ice but I believe that is due
