Our approach uses a combination of tai chi, chi kung, kung fu, and associated health/wellness philosophy and general practices, in order to take ownership of the true meaning of self defense, e.g.: The true meaning of self-defense is self-defense against our own weaknesses and bad habits. It is much about true health through true responsibility.
Our primary goal is student wellness, e.g. Instruction in Li-Jia Tai Chi Chuan, Li-Jia Chi Kung, and Li-Chan Kung Fu, millennium-old complete systems of self defense and wellness - inclusive of exercise, meditational arts, dim mak, probity, associated philosophy, spirituality, and traditional wellness theory and practices.

Glen & his wife Luann are the owners of the offices & school in Mason City. He is a wellness coach & life coach, & is the author of the book - A Glimpse of Heaven: The Philosophy of True Health. He is an instructor of tai chi chuan, chi kung, kung fu, & associated health & wellness philosophy, probity, theory, & practices.
Eyes gaze slightly above the imagined horizon (except of course when watching the instructor). Advance Abdominal Breathing (performed more in summer/releases heat), e.g., when breathing in, push your belly out (fill) - and when breathing out, pull your belly in (empty). Reverse Abdominal Breathing (performed more in winter/creates heat), e.g., when breathing in, pull your belly in, when breathing out, push your belly out/relax diaphragm.
Empirical research has confirmed the plethora benefits of tai chi chuan. In various fashions, humans have evolved into clearly integrated entities, and this integration can be ongoingly nurtured, e.g., with all facets of the traditional Chinese health arts, inclusive of tai chi chuan. Benefit to one system (such as the cardiovascular system) will directly benefit all other systems.
