Cuchara, a charming mountain village in the heart of the Cucharas River Valley, is just up the road. Highway of Legends circles the Spanish Peaks region and you can join this scenic drive right in front of the RV park. We were so blessed to find an opening for a month here while we were waiting for escrow to go through. A wonderful retreat for anyone nestled in a resort type small town. Clean and well kept with a golf course a block away. Scenic views will blow your mind. All amenities are in walking distance. Family friendly recommend

La Veta Pines RV Park is a great little, quiet, clean RV park. My girlfriend and I spent the 1st night in our little camper there. The new-ish owner ( 2 years) came out and helped us back in since we arrived after dark. The sites are roomy. The bathrooms are clean. They have a cool little stage where a local friend tells me they have great little out door music events. The wifi was good enough to watch YouTube videos and stream iTunes. Recommended! I’ll definitely be back. Full disclosure, I’m an RV park owner and can see that these owners are doing great work here.

Super quiet and clean. Well maintained and the owner couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating. We got stranded due to mechanical issues at a time when most RV parks were full. He not only fit us in, he was waiting for us at the entrance, well after business hours, to help the tow truck guide our 33 ft trailer in. This is not where we were heading, but it was a delightful surprise how wonderful the RV park community was, as well as the town! The spots are very close together, but they have full hook ups, and more amenities than any place I’ve ever stayed. It’s definitely worth checking

Super cute!!! We were originally going to boon dock in the Spanish peaks by blue lake but after seeing the incline our motorhome wouldn’t make it up to the top like we would have liked. We found La Veta Pines Rv Park and love it! Owner is super sweet and really puts a lot of time and effort into keeping the place looking nice! Would highly recommend!

Great shady RV park. Nice little store at the office. I kinda got off on the wrong foot with owners though. We arrived about 30 minutes before check in and I ignored the sign that said "Stop Here". They were a little upset because I drove through the park. It is a small park so I understand why they want you to wait. Bottom line, stop at the sign and don't get there before the 2 o'clock check in time. I would stay there again. 😃

We camped here this past weekend. We had 3 rigs in our group. We were all put together. The 6 kids with us really enjoyed the openness between the sites to toss a football around and the games provided and the popcorn and movie last night. The staff is very friendly. We would recommend this campground.

Checked the campsite as we usually do before setting up to make sure we like the site. Site was Tiny less than 11 feet across and less than 25 ft long. Owner assured us our 25ft camper would fit which it did not. Then when we tried to extend the bump out it went into the road which the owner said would be okay but we did not feel comfortable with. We decided to leave when owner and his mother became quite arrogant and rude to us. The owner screwed mother stated they only have a two pet limit and that was told to us when the reservation was made by phone which is not true or we would not have made

Loved this shady RV park located within walking distance of the quaint little town of La Veta, Colorado! Very relaxing! Most necessities are available in their store on site, and anything else can be purchased in town. The small grocery store in town had delicious scooped ice cream as well as a terrific deli section. Everyone here is so warm and welcoming!

Place was a covid nightmare with the website making up that they will be safe but the host was running around gossiping about small town stuff like for example the sewer plant (it smells) is too close & dumps into the Cuchara Stream? & always without his mask! Not wearing a mask is like putting on a blind fold and randomly firing at people. He is an obnoxious man with glasses & a Patagonia jacket.

Insanely rude. Called to ask if there was space for our RV and was greeted with a very rude and disrespectful worker, reflects off how the service here actually is.I had called and right away he kept saying that we had already called and some other mumbles I couldn't understand. Asked for the price and again was rude and uneasy and very impatient. Don't recommend.Never considering this place again. Don't waste your money here.

Awesome location. Only have 30 amps tho BUT...... man was super nice & helpful and kind also. Knew lots of information about the area. Was shady & some space between lots and glass was so green. Man was working all the time on the grounds. CLEAN (very clean). Very nice toward the end of a street. Several deer outside right behind us and saw one while pulling in. Will love to stay again if guy puts in 50 amps for a few weeks maybe. Only 4 stars cause only 30 amps. But WE DID LOVE THE PLACE. NICE GET-A-WAY FROM BUSY LIFE‼️

We are so thankful to have come across this hidden gem. We had booked a stay in another town and to say it was scary is an understatement I search on yelp for other RV Parks and when I called La Veta Pines the owner answered the phone and even though it was late in the day on a holiday weekend her and her husband made a spot for us and were waiting to help once we arrived. They were available at every single question we had and helped us get all set up. The Park is so pretty and so clean. We will be back for sure!

We had a great stay at Le Veta Pines RV park. Greg was super helpful and accommodating upon our arrival and made us feel very welcome. The park is very quiet at night and during the day the foot traffic is pretty light. Movie night on the Saturday that we stayed, with popcorn!! Owners live onsite and really care about their guest’s experience and comfort. Lots are comfortably spaced with grass and picnic tables provided. We will definitely make reservations here again. Thanks for a relaxing weekend!!

Best RV park my wife and I have stayed at by far after 2 months on the road. Owners are super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to provide customer service. It is located just enough off the main road to be secluded and have plenty of shade yet still close enough to be convenient to shops, gas stations, laundry, etc. Cleanest and most private bathrooms with showers ever at an RV park. All of our neighbors were super friendly as well.

Lucy is a gem. When passing through La Veta while competing in the RAAM bicycle race across America, we ran into a small issue with our RV. Lucy was out of the office, but came right back to help us out. She runs a really nice little park, with very clean facilities and ample room for rigs. If how much attention she gave to a nonpaying RV is any indication, I can only imagine how well her guests are treated. I hope to return someday for a more leisurely visit.

Wonderful experience!! I was in town because my RV broke down....on the 2nd day i thought it was going to be fixed by end of day, so i stopped in to ask if they had any openings and told them my story....they reserved a space for me and were SO nice....come to find out my RV was not going to be done, so i stopped by again and said i would not need the space...first the host offered up her grassy area for me to put ta tent, then the owner age me a FREE spot to put my tent....had the opportunity to talk with the people around, and Lucy told me the story of how she came to La Vita....such a wonderful

What a great park, if I could give more stars I would! Just spent one night but would have loved to stay longer! The owner Lucy will do her best to take care of you and make sure your stay with them is one of your best experiences! If you are even close in the area make sure you book your stay at "I Love Lucy's."

So glad we stopped! Looking for a one-nite spot and it was great...wish we could've stayed longer and would call Lucy's again if we're ever in La Veta again. Friendly staff. Had a potluck BBQ that night, with entertainment--was a lot of fun. Had a problem with our 5th wheel landing gear the next morning, and several folks came by to assist. Fellow RVers are the best!
