Services
Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 207 E. Second Street in Lonoke is a family owned and operated business. Established in 1972 by Virgil and Margaret Boyd and their son, Donald, the funeral home offered full service funerals, a flower shop, and an ambulance service. Mr. Boyd started working in the funeral business in 1945 for Bailey Funeral Home in Cabot.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Boyd Funeral Home offers prepaid funeral plans, which are in irrevocable trust or insurance funded accounts. This service allows families or individuals to prearrange and prepay their loved ones services without fear of the money being misused or not available at the time of need. The business also sells burial/life insurance policies up to $10,000.00.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

The staff does not work with grieving families that live out of town. We live 400 Miles from here. Also, one family member works in Medicine in Little Rock. Monday is a busy surgery day. The staff would not work with him.
I grew up in Lonoke and will never recommend this funeral home to any of my family.

This family owned and operating business is wonderful. It's such a hard time when you lose a loved one. They are friendly and truely care about your needs. Doing whatever they can to make a hard time better and libing up to your loved ones wishes. Hard business to be in but unfortunately a necessary one. Can't speak highly enough about Boyd Funreal Home! Thank you for caring so much!

After the passing of my mother in law this past week, Boyds went above ans beyond making sure we were completely cared for as her family, and did a beautiful job caring for her. They were accepting of our many changes throughout the process, and never made them out to be a big deal. Thank you for making this time of grieving easier for us!
