Dr. Katie V. Hicks is a proud native Tucsonan! After graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in 2003, she moved to Omaha, NE to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation from Creighton in 2007, Dr. Hicks was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society, as well as Alpha Sigma Nu, a national Jesuit honor society.
As a mother of 3, Dr. Hicks understands the needs of your children and is naturally caring and compassionate while providing the best dental care for them. We truly enjoy treating the whole family, catering to the first happy visit at approximately 1 year of age, and continuing on with children of all ages, adults, and geriatrics.

We are excited to announce a new in-office whitening technology called ZOOM! by Philips. It is the #1 patient-requested whitening brand and we couldn't be happier with the results!
Dr. Hicks is a certified Invisalign provider. It is a clear alternative to traditional braces. Invisalign moves teeth through a series of clear aligners that are worn by the patient 22 hours per day. Invisalign aligners can be removed by the patient for hygiene and are changed out every week. Invisalign can be used to treat a variety of issues including spacing, crowding and orthodontic relapse with treatment time based on the movement required.
Implants, Crowns and Bridges are all procedures that require the combined expertise of Dr. Katie Hicks and a certified dental laboratory. We are proud to say that for these cases, we partner with a laboratory here in Tucson, ensuring high-quality restorations created to restore the aesthetics and functions of our patients' smiles.

I have moved a lot as an adult. One of my least favorite activities after every move is finding a new dentist. I have had a lot of dental work done over the years (several cavities filled and an implant from a tooth I knocked out in my youth) and so I know how important it is to find a dentist that is not only likeable but competent.

Amazingly pleasant and top notch service. As a physician, I am especially impressed as her entire team went above and beyond. I recently broke a front tooth crown and with my old dentist retired I was looking for a new dentist. I had heard great things about Dr. Hicks and so called to see how soon I could be seen as a new patient. To my surprise, they worked me in the next workday. I’m so grateful to Dr. Hicks and her team!! They were all so kind and fun to talk to! I also hadn’t been to the dentist in awhile and they didn’t make me feel bad or embarrassed, they just were really passionate about great dental hygiene and making sure I understood why it’s important to take care of my teeth and floss (which I’ve never been good about) which in turn, helped me feel really motivated to step up my daily routines. I feel very grateful to have ended up with Dr. Hicks as my dentist and would definitely recommend her :)

New to Tucson and Dr Hicks was recommended by my PCP. I was not disappointed. Easy scheduling, safe Covid precautions (as a nurse this is very important to me) and everyone so friendly. Paperwork completed easily online thus a quick checkin. Felt the entire team was very competent and not focused on “selling” me a procedure I did not need. Highly recommend.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would say. “I actually enjoy going to the dentist!” Crazy right? Well, Dr. Katie Hicks, dentist extraordinaire single-handedly cured me of a lifetime of dental phobia. The world would be a better place if every dentist had her knowledge, expert skills, ability to listen, sincere compassion, and sense of humor. There is none better than her experienced, competent, caring all female staff. They respect each other while making sure that every patient is served in a way that is exactly right for each individual.

All I can say is wow! Dr Hicks came into her office today to see me and my broken tooth. Dr Hicks and her staff are always warm and caring but today was above and beyond. In the midst of this self isolation Dr Hicks did not hesitate to open the office and help me. Unfortunately my tooth couldn't be saved and Dr Hicks got me right in to see an oral surgeon, Dr Lew. The experience with Dr Lew and his staff was just as amazing. If Dr Hicks isn't your dentist you should switch right away!

I am beyond impressed with Dr. Hicks and her fantastic staff. I moved into town and had an accident leaving my front tooth chipped. I was starting my new job the next day and needed the chip fixed ASAP. I called about 30 dentist, but no one could see me on such short notice. Dr. Hicks stayed open late just for me and fixed my tooth. The Dr put me at ease right away. The filling was painless, and it looks beautiful! I was ready to go to my fiat day of work with a confident smile:-) The professionalism and kindness this office and their staff showed me, turned a horrible day into a happy memory

Admit it. Most people cringe when they have to go to the dentist for a cleaning or a filling or a crown. Or YOU, the patient, dread doing to the dentist. Dread no more, Cringe no more... Dr. Katie Hicks and her most awesome, kind, hospitable, fun, energetic staff make the experience of "going to the dentist" like no other. The vibe is welcoming and everyone here is most helpful. Even when emergencies come up with a chipped tooth! They were able to get me in (right before the holidays!) Not to mention the level of professionalism is at it's best here. We were recommended to Dr Hicks from our dentist in Oregon - they went to dental school together. We are so glad we found her, she makes going to the dentist fun! She is always on time, extra gentle and conservative in her treatments.
We also can't forget her team! Being greeted by Larissa puts a smile on your face when you walk in, Jessica her assistant is so sweet and friendly and Angelica the hygienist is just the best!

Dr. Hicks has such a fun, easy going personality that makes going to the dentist actually fun! Who can say that about going to the dentist!? I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, honest, great dentist in Tucson. I came from another dentist who had recommended extensive treatment and Dr Hicks has a more conservative approach, which I LOVE! She will tell you what you do need, but also will tell you what can wait.
Her hygienist, Angelica is also amazing! She is very gentle and makes your cleanings a breeze! Go see Dr. Hicks for all of your dental needs!

I have interned at Katie's office for 2 years now and every patient leaves happy. Katie is honestly so wonderful! She is so outgoing and very diligent in her work. Her personality really shines and she also does a great job clinically while keeping your best interests in mind. Something really great about her is that she is very conservative in practice, so you won't be getting any treatment you don't need! She is also amazing with kids as she has 3 of her own. She truly is the best dentist in Tucson!!
