Services
The Beta Group was established in 1997 by founders Murray White, Mark A. Cheek and John Laughlin. We have since participated in over 5,000 projects and have expanded from three employees to over 60 serving Louisiana and Mississippi. Our office locations expanded from our main office in Gretna, Louisiana to a laboratory in Hancock County, Mississippi and a satellite office in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana.
We provide a full range of geotechnical services relating to subsurface explorations, soils laboratory testing and geotechnical engineering analyses. Our engineering staff consists of three professional engineers registered in Louisiana and has extensive experience in a wide range of projects that include buildings, drainage structures, roads, etc.

I graduated from UNO in May with a Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering and soon after I began looking for an electrical engineering job. Getting your first engineering job out of college can often be very difficult because companies typically want someone who is experienced. The Beta Group was one of the many places I submitted my resume to and not soon after I received a call asking me if I wanted to come in for an interview.
