Services
Prior to forming Widdis & White, I served as a Family Court Master for the Second Judicial District Court in Washoe County. In that role, I heard over 16,000 cases involving a myriad of family law issues, including child support enforcement, domestic violence and protection orders, juvenile guardianships, and juvenile dependency cases.
My areas of experience in private practice include: divorce, custody, paternity, domestic violence, child support, relocation, guardianships (both adult and children), termination of parental rights, prenuptial agreements, and adoptions. I am also familiar with several practice areas which are less common, such as minor name changes, emancipation, registration of out-of-state orders, and minor marriages.
Every case starts with a sit-down conversation with Lance and Nicole. If you are upset, it can be difficult to see your own situation objectively or to plan for the long term. Let us do that. After spending an hour discussing your situation, questions, and concerns, we will give you our recommendations about how to proceed, even if you don't choose to retain our firm.

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness
Lance doesn't perform well infront of other magistrates. He walked us down a very bad path and had us sign an agreement that could have been accomplished prior to appearing in court, which is costly. How he explained the agreement did not match the Court's order. Zero stars, do not recommend.

I did so much "homework" I wondered what I was paying for. Not to mention getting the lien on my credit with billing. Now that she put some consideration of what the value on my life was, I received more billed amounts due. I don't know the other people in this office. I was at the courts mercy with this lawyer and basically learned how to roll over.

This was the first time in my life I've needed a lawyer. I was in the middle of a divorce that my husband's lawyer had orchestrated. Although the situation was amicable and "fair" I knew she was advocating for my husband. So when it was time for me to sign the MSA I decided to set up a consultation with Widdis and White. Fabulous, thorough, and unbelievably knowledgeable in their field. They took care of my divorce with children and not only took most the stress off my shoulders, but legitimately got me every single thing I requested, including primary custody, child support, and alimony.
