Hologram Beauty is run by me, Megan Yamamoto, a professional makeup artist in Williamsburg, VA. Megan and her hairstylist arrived at the venue early. We had a group of 6, and we managed to be ahead of schedule. Megan even stayed late to make sure I did not need any adjustment to my hair and makeup after I changed from my tea ceremony dress to my wedding gown.

I have always been a glam junkie, from my passion for Cyndi Lauper and Madonna in the 80's to my mild obsession with glitter that is still strong to this day.

I'm THRILLED to have found Megan of Hologram Beauty! She did my hair and makeup twice in the last month. Not only did she accommodate my early morning requests BUT she went out of her way to get me in even though I was scheduling last minute. I'm not usually this difficult LOL. Both my hair and makeup turned out beautifully! One session was for a headshot and the other was for a video recording. She helped to me to feel and look my best. Her suite is beautiful, clean and modern. Plus she takes her COVID protocols very seriously. There is plenty of parking and she provided detailed directions

Megan did my makeup for a photo shoot. She is absolutely amazing! She is so creative and the photos turned out so well because she has such a good eye for how to apply makeup for photo shoots. Not only is she amazing at her job, she is always kind, personable and beautiful inside and out. I highly recommend her and will use her for future photo shoots or even just for a date night out with my hubby!

I was initially really worried about hiring a makeup artist because my friends and I have had prior experiences with artists who ran late, causing some bridesmaids to miss their makeup for the wedding (!!!), and/or didn't know how to handle Asian makeup (I've learned the hard way that in the wrong hands, I can easily look like a Disney villain, and not in a good way).
Thank goodness I found Megan. I had a very vague Pinterest idea of what I wanted for hair and makeup, and Megan used those pics during the trial and worked with me to help clarify what my wedding day look would be. Megan

Megan did my makeup for my wedding and boy is she talented!! For reference, I'm Asian and so were all my bridesmaids and for the first time ever, my professionally done makeup augmented my features. The makeup stayed on great the whole day, even through all the sweat (it was 85 degrees that day) and all the dancing. She also did my hair during the trial and my hair was beautifully styled. On top of all that, Megan is so fun to work with! We had such a fun morning being pampered on the big day. Thank you!!!
