Services
The Kate Pearl Tea Room is an English-style tearoom designed to provide our customers with periods of respite while dining on freshly prepared foods of the highest quality accompanied by a wide variety of fine teas. Our mission is to connect generations. We see so many guests introducing the younger generations to the fine art of afternoon tea, and it brings us so much JOY!
Our delicious scones are baked from scratch daily! We have over 200 types of scones at The Kate Pearl Tea Room, and we rotate through our flavors based on availability of fresh ingredients and the current season. If you would like to purchase scones-to-go in moderate to large quantities, please call ahead to place an order.
Our kitchen is happy to take orders (48 hours advance notice required) for custom teapot cakes for in-house or to-go. Our teapot cakes are available in vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, or lemon; and are iced in the colors of your choice in buttercream or fondant (spouts and handles are for decoration only).

The Kate Pearl Tea Room has four main rooms from which to choose, each with its own unique style. Additional outdoor seating available, weather permitting. Our study currently features the work of local artists. Lydia's Room.named for the first lady of the historic home - who raised 10 children in the original two room structure!

We have been coming to this tea house for 15+ years. In the past, we have always enjoyed the food, scones and service :-) Apparently they are under new ownership. First, chocolate scones? Way too chocolatey, waitress would not come back for long periods of time for refills or other things, we preordered soup & they ran out (so brought us salads and none of our girls eat feta or walnuts on their salad.. Before I would have given this place know as Gypsy’s a 12/10 now maybe 3/10. So disappointed.

My Mom, my teen daughter and her friend attended the holiday tea today. My daughter claimed it to be "the best tea she ever went to". It was a leisurely and wonderful event. The food, drinks and staff were amazing. They so thoughtfully prepared the themed tea and obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. We may go a second time! I highly recommend the Kate Pearl Tea room.

First time doing “tea” and I’m not sure if I’ll ever do it again. Had a reservation for 2pm order for teas wasn’t taken until almost 3, server was more interested in the other table in the room. Food portions were so small not even a child would be satisfied. I understand tea is supposed to be a leisurely experience and have little bites of food but For two hours and only had 3 finger sandwiches and literally 2 bites of salad . Will not be returning .

My husband took me to the Kate Pearl Tea Room for my birthday and we had a lovely tea service. The food was delicious, service was great, and tea was delicious. It was a great experience, just a little hot upstairs where we were seated, but it is a super old and charming place. We will definitely be coming again! Loved the scones, sandwiches, and the cute teacups at our table.

The house is historic. Each room is decorated differently. The teas are excellent. Food quality and menu is excellent! I enjoy this tea room much more than Tea By Two. The staff is great. Just about every item you see displayed is for sale. Price is reasonable. There is even another smaller house in the back for little girls to have tea parties complete with dress up hats.

Under new ownership and the staff is very friendly. Our server was Jenna and she was a very sweet young girl. The blueberry scone was delicious and I was hesitant about trying the cold pear soup. I’m so glad I did because it was surprisingly amazing! The tea selection is vast and unique. Can’t wait to go back!

I took my sister (mother of 4) and our own mom to tea for Mother’s Day- it was just delightful! The food was absolutely delicious. Cake pops, salad with delicious homemade dressing, creamy potato soup, and the best tea sandwiches.
The tea, which should be obvious, was the best part. My favorite was the hummingbird blend. Highly recommend!
The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate.
