Services
Wollersheim Winery & Distillery sit on a scenic hillside overlooking the Wisconsin River, just across from Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. The property was first cultivated by European vintners over 150 years ago, and was established as Wollersheim Winery in 1972. Today, this National Historic Site is home to one of the leading wineries in the Midwest, as well as a-new distillery.
A contemporary dry gin featuring citrus and subtle floral notes that complement the crispness of juniper. Production Method: Base spirit made from wheat mash, distilled to over 170 proof, redistilled with botanicals in vapor basket. Story: Our Garden Gate Gin is a contemporary dry gin featuring citrus and subtle floral notes that complement the crispness of juniper.
Guests will enjoy live music by Shekinah King, snap photos in a photobooth, meet some of this year's winners and sample local food and drinks. We are pleased to occasionally make personal appearances at other stores in Wisconsin or Illinois to sample wine, share stories, and educate the store's customers about our wines.
Our sister winery is located in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, just 20 miles north of Milwaukee. Cedarburg is a popular tourist destination that draws crowds seasonally for its festivals, including Strawberry Festival in June and Wine & Harvest Festival in September. The Wollersheim Winery family opened Cedar Creek Winery in 1990.
Agriculture is a major part of what we do at the winery, and so is preserving the environment around us and treating it with respect. We prioritize green practices in the vineyard, like mulching, researching more environmentally-friendly herbicides, and using organic cow manure as fertilizer. Mulching prevents water from evaporating, and keeps it in the ground available to the roots.

Incredible view, old buildings, cave, etc. Landscaped really well and beautiful. Wines were good, but nothing really outstanding. The woman pouring the tastings was fun and very personable, but didn't really know which wines were estate ones, and which won awards. Should know that if you are pouring for customers. Met the wine maker and the distiller on our visit, that was fun.

Nestled in the hills outside of Prairie du Sac, Wi is the most beautiful vineyard and distillery combination I've ever seen. The Bistro has awesome quick bites will tons of seating and quiet areas all around the property. The vineyard is well tended and property is georgious.
The wine tasting is by a flight of 5 selections with a staff member to guide and help you understand the differences of the selections. Our guide, Sarah, was super friendly, an absolute blast, and very knowledgeable in the product lines. Sarah's guidance was worth the trip alone... And worthy of a good tip!

This place is amazing! The food at the Bistro and the wine are not that expensive either! The parking spot is a little walk to the Bistro and Winery so you would need flats to walk on, specially if you are used to wearing high heels like me. When you order your food at the Bistro, they let you choose where to sit; we chose to sit outside by the "hobbit" house looking cave where they used to store wine back in the old days. If you decide to come here, your experience will be worth it!
