Vine-to-bottle has been a fundamental part of our winemaking philosophy for more than 30 years, long before it was hip to be farm-to-table, or in our case, grape-to-glass. We know that Wisconsin's best wine begins in the vineyard and that in Wisconsin, great wine can only be made from the grapes that grow well in our climate.
We are an original vine-to-bottle Wisconsin winery and one of only a handful with estate vineyards producing authentic Wisconsin wine. But it wasn't the first time that our wines have earned this prestigious designation by an independent, third-party expert. In its feature The United States of Wine, Epicurious.com named Botham Vineyards' 2012 Uplands Reserve Wisconsin's BEST wine.

Services
Situated in the heart of Wisconsin's Iowa County Uplands and surrounded by more than 900 acres of nature conservancy, Botham Vineyards & Winery has been growing and producing regionally distinctive Wisconsin wines of international acclaim since 1989. We grow red wines; grapes with names like Marechal Foch and Leon Millot.
More than an address, it is a destination, a playground for the senses, a memory waiting to be made. Our clay-loam-over-limestone, nutrient-rich soil produces wines that are consistently earthy, bright and indicative of our growing region. The rolling hills of Iowa County's Driftless Region create a stunning backdrop for our terrace.
Eligibility: One full-case purchase is all it takes. Just complete the membership registration card, opt-in to receive occasional email communication from us and you'll become a Botham Vineyards Case Club member for life. Plus, the purchase of your first full case earns a 13th bottle for free. How great is that?

We had a very nice afternoon at this winery. We love Mom and Pop businese and this place is very down to Earth and friendly. Service is offered with a smile and informative.
We really enjoyed the wine tasting and the prices were very reasonable. 3 free, 6 for $5 or all 12 for $10. Of course we did all 12 and found several that we liked. We eneded up buying 4 bottles and drank a couple of them while we were there. The owners let you bring your own snacks which is always a great idea.
We highly recommend this winery over the more commercialized operations.
Thank you,
Joel/Roy

Simple and beautiful Vinyard with a nice selection of rose, blush and white wines from fairly dry to delightfuly sweet. Nice outdoor seating with great views of the area. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the detailed descriptions of the wines we tasted.
Wonderful stop after visiting cave of the mounds.

The grounds are nice, and the people working were great - this review is, however, a review of the wine itself. I have tasted and toured wines around the world and keep a well stocked supply at home, and so I feel as though I have a well developed palate when it comes to wine. I would use words such as "flat", "shallow", and "boring" to describe all of the wine from Botham. I did a tasting with my wife and we went through the entire selection available and were both soundly disappointed in what was poured - each wine seemed less robust than the one before it and at the end of it all we were happy

Worth the stop! Beautiful home winery. Katie, a staff member was absolutely fantastic! So welcoming and genuine, you can tell she loves her job! (Who wouldn’t!) the wine selection was enjoyable. I brought a first timer for wine in general and this was the perfect start. The gift shop area has so many sweet ideas for gifts and plenty of yummy snacks! Outside we were able to enjoy a bottle of wine after our tasting. It was gorgeous scenery and the perfect way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. We joined the case club and will be back to visit very soon!
