Providing evidence-based psychological treatment individually tailored to resolve clients' specific mental health concerns or circumstances, develop healthy responses and strategies, acquire insight into dysfunctional patterns, and/or redefine one's perspective or life trajectory.

Providing innovative solutions and/or strategic responses by integrating the latest research findings, culturally-competent approaches, advanced psychological principles, and therapeutic techniques to client-specific mental health or psychologically-relevant circumstances.I know there are many psychologists, therapists, and counselors to choose from so, I am honored that you are considering me.
Services
I provide clinical supervision and consulting services as a licensed psychologist to the staff of Chapman House, a 42-bed adult mental health and substance abuse rehab facility, as well as TeenSavers, a 6-bed adolescent mental health and substance abuse rehab facility.

I was responsible for preparing and submitting Hart Community Homes' application for STRTP licensure and Medi-Cal certification from the California Department of Social Services, which included considerable restructuring of the program, policies, and procedures in place while also establishing an innovative mental health service program from the ground up.
I strive to treat symptoms and underlying causes rather than focusing on assigning labels or the assumptions tied to specific diagnoses. I prefer to collaborate with my clients and tailor my approach to their specific and individual needs. I place a strong emphasis on transparency and honesty as they are the greatest tools I implement to ensure my clients build the therapeutic skill sets they need to independently reach their treatment goals.
Psychodiagnostic tests are valid and reliable forms of psychological assessment, providing complex understanding of thought processes, personality characteristics and mood states. They can be used as a part of comprehensive evaluation, to ensure diagnostic accuracy and to assist the clinician in planning appropriate treatment for the client.
Work with parents to develop effective parenting strategies that specifically addresses their child's or adolescent's problematic behavior, conduct problems, and defiance of authority figures. Provide attorneys and their clients with information crucial to their case, psycho-legal issue, or mental health concern.
People seek out therapy for a number of different reasons. For example, prospective clients may see a psychologist to work on personal growth or development, learn how to become more stable, work through their struggles with a particular problem, better communicate with friends and family members, or develop coping skills that resolve their symptoms.

I consider myself a very people person. I come from a very big and diverse family. I love to meet down to earth and real people, with that said, Dr Shapiro has helped me on many levels. I was recently in a motorcycle accident and was having issues getting back to normal life. I like to be active physically and play with my children a lot, but with the accident, it hindered my activity causing a lot of stress. Dr Shapiro has encouraged me to engage in activities to express myself and let the people around me help with my recovery. Thank you Lauren..
P.s she is very energetic and happy all the time

She is a terror. A family of mine had seen her and I have overheard their conversation on speakerphone. She will talk over you and railroad you. She doesn't even give you a chance to get your word in edgewise. She is very rude and mean and very manipulative. I have reported her to the board of psychology for being abusive to her clients.

Please please please avoid this "professional" as much as you can. She's a complete hack and I don't use this term lightly. My brother has a lot of issues and needed therapy. He was seeing a therapist from Kaiser but they're so booked up so he was only able to go to therapy once a month. I decided that he needed to see someone at least once a week and found Lauren on One Path Collective (great resource despite this road bump).
After a couple months with Lauren, I noticed that he was actually worst off than when he was when he saw his therapist at Kaiser. With his many issues, he never voiced it
