Dr. Blazek is our chiropractor in Brookfield, WI. Dr. Dean Blazek is a native of Wisconsin, born and raised in the greater Milwaukee area. He is a 1999 graduate from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic.

I have been a patient of Dr Nickel's for the last 3 mos. I have seen her in the ofc twice and have corresponded with her staff via email several times. I have to say I was very surprised by some of the negative reviews here regarding care received from Dr Nickels but when I thought more about it I am not surprised. I am not surprised because as I reviewed in my head my years of practicing as a clinician I recall feeling as if my patients expected me to cure them without their full commitment to do their part to assist in getting better. Update: I saw both doctors today who confirmed that my fibroids have now grown due to the supplement I was put on, and that my glucose was out of control due to the supplement. When I called the office to talk to them about my disappointment, the receptionist said “Dr. Nickels can’t check the blood sugars of every patient, every day.” Mind you, all she had to do was enter a code to see what my sugars were, considering I’m type one diabetic. I also sent her the email where Dr. Nickels instructed this MA to tell me that she would not be checking my glucose until I began taking the full dosage

The only positives are that I figured out what was wrong with getting the hormone test. But the communication was awful. Being put on supplements and not told about side effects was highly disappointing.
Being diabetic and being told that my blood sugars would not be monitored until I started taking a full recommended dose of supplements was not cool. I had to start out slow because I’m type 1 diabetic (35 years) and HAVE to be aware of how meds affect my body before going all in. *AT FIRST* I thought that Dr. Nickels was wonderful. But after two-three years of waiting forever in the exam rooms, totally contradicting information and countless dollars in supplements I realized that this clinic is all about making money. Yes it's a business but no one in their 30's without any serious medical diseases should be taking as many supplements and hormone creams as she had me on. Don’t go here. They never followed up with me on a second appointment. This shows they don’t care about their patients. Just made me purchase some expensive supplements I paid out of my own pockets. I switched to another naturopathic doctor and I’m liking her approach much better.
I'm torn. I really do like Dr. Nickels. She's incredibly knowledgeable, but she doesn't review any of my lab work prior to meeting me. Making me assume this is a revolving door wellness center. She reviews all of my lab work while meeting me, wasting time, and then prescribes me supplements

I started seeing Dr Nickels for symptoms I was told I was having because I was "Of an age". I did alot of reading about my symptoms and decided to make an appointment with a "modern medicine" dr and a holistic dr. While Dr. Nickels was able to solve one concern with my hormones, but over the course of 4 months, she was unable to find the underlying issue behind the rest of my concerns. She didn't explain well enough as to why she was putting me on certain supplements and was far from clear about what I can be doing to treat my own body. Only when I took matters into my own hands did I finally get answers from her, except to find they were contradictory to what she told me four months prior. I started going to Dr Nickels several yrs ago with severe PMS. I went to many doctors, but no one could help. She not only diagnosed the problem, but also was able to treat my issues naturally and safely. Recently, I went to see her, and again she was able to pinpoint the problem immediately, and I have more energy than I've had in a long time. I have nothing but positive things to say. I had seen a ton of doctors prior to seeing Dr. Nickels and I still felt like crap. Within a week of seeing her and getting the right supplements I felt 1000x better. She listens to all my issues and symptoms and works with me to make sure I'm getting the appropriate treatment. Her staff, especially Josephine are supportive, knowledgeable, and make it a great experience. And if I ever have an issue/complaint with ANYTHING they listen and value my opinion.

I have been under the care of Dr. Nickels for the past 10 years and I can honestly say my health is SO MUCH BETTER! She uses many different lab tests to determine a diagnosis and what supplements & prescriptions are needed to regain better health. My last labs were the best yet!
