Post and beam typically uses half lap joinery with hidden fasteners, and sometimes decorative metal braces; whereas Timber Frame uses mortise and tenon joinery secured with wooden pegs.

Ron has unusual skills, creativity, and integrity. He built our BEAUTIFUL and CREATIVE timberframe home in 2001. He and his crew braved conditions that no other contractor would embrace. They finished on time and with the greatest skill and craftsmanship we have ever seen. ( We have built 3 houses) The most remarkable thing of all is that on two occasions we had a problem many years after the house was completed. For example, about 12 years after completion, we had a leak on our deck. Ron came and checked it and determined his crew had not handled the flashing to his specs. He covered replacement
