Carol's classes are great. She is so welcoming and patient, trying to make sure that each and every person does what they can do. No more, no less. Carol offers modified postures, making it an effective class for all. My neck and hands as well as my feet, are sensitive and I can do most everything, with Carol's guidance.
I was lost in so many ways before I found a place and a teacher that could lead me to a healthier way of living, feeling and thinking. The child that was still within my aging body was calling out for a way to unify again. I found that place with the teaching of my yoga instructor/therapist, Carol Klammer.

Yoga therapy may be able to help release tension, strengthen and stretch, enabling you to find and maintain better posture and alignments. Better movement and strong, relaxed muscle tone can help you feel better in your body and your mind, leading to improvement in pain symptoms. Yoga therapy can help you discover what simple movements are safe and effective, specifically for you.
Classes at the Rose City Senior Center are charged per class $4 or $18 for a six week session. Senior Center Membership must also be purchased and helps pay the teacher. Using all our great Viniyoga techniques this class will challenge you to stay balanced, to balance yourself in flowing movements, and in stillness, from your physical, mental and spiritual core.
Here is a beginning level series to build from the ground up, using the many elements that work together toward your practice. Level of challenge will be mild to moderate and I always offer modifications for stronger or more relaxed expression of what you need. Yoga practitioners with experience and understanding of yoga may join and will definitely benefit from the practice.
Beginning/Continuing class is just that: where you cultivate your "beginner's mind" and where you can continue your inner exploration as your awareness deepens over time. The Asana practice (postures) will have a basic, balanced approach and the physical challenge is moderate. We also practice Pranayamas (guided breathwork techniques) and occasional meditation or chanting.
While some women have care-free, easy pregnancies, many have discomforts and challenges that are typical and common. Especially if you are feeling some discomfort that is normal for pregnancy, we can work together to release and relieve aches and pains through strengthening, stretching and most important of all, focused and deep relaxation.

I have been a student at the studio for a few years now and have had the opportunity to take part in a variety of classes and workshops. Carol is a wonderful instructor, a wealth of good information on a multiple of health related topics. She goes out of her way to create a community in each class. I have taken a number of Cheryl's classes too. She has a dynamite style, always encouraging. Helen teaches Yoga Tune Up. If you have not taken this type of class before it is a must. Those little tune up balls get into every nook and cranny helping to work out oohs and ahhs you didn't even
