The treasure that is Waioli in Manoa has been brought to life as a new restaurant where high-quality artisanal ingredients complement menus focused around housemade baked goods. On the site of the historic Waioli Tea Room and on the road to the Manoa Falls, Waioli Kitchen & Bake Shop is a vibrant community-oriented gathering place serving a greater social purpose.
Services
We invite you to be a part of this next chapter for Waioli as we restore this historic treasure to a destination that brings people together; a special place that uniquely belongs to Manoa, where neighbors can gather to share a great meal and conversation. Visitors drawn to the natural beauty of the Manoa Valley and this historic site can find a welcoming stop along their journey.
Opened in 1922, the Waioli Tea Room was conceived as a vocational training facility for the orphans housed at the Salvation Army Girls Home that was also located on the Manoa Campus. The Waioli Tea Room served breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and at its height attracted hundreds of guests every day from around the world.
We add a 3% training surcharge to our checks. This small fee helps offset some of our costs associated with the vocational training investment we are making in our team as we provide them with work skills as part of their substance abuse disorder recovery. We appreciate your understanding and support of our staff.
We invite our guests to take part in this grand experiment as we write the next chapter in the story of Waioli. Share in our journey as we grow, cultivate and harvest fresh products on the property. Join us as we help transform lives by providing vocational training, life skills and hope to individuals in recovery.
Although we are just minutes away from Waikiki, our secluded valley is a world apart, Manoa means thick and vast in the Hawaiian language and this magical valley boasts a blend of ancient and modern, natural and manmade. Manoa is the site of the first sugarcane and coffee plantations in the Hawaiian Islands.

Great service and delicious food! I had coffee, sauteed veggies, and the banana mac-nut pancakes (their sauce for the pancakes was so tasty). I loved the ambiance of the place and will definitely be back for weekend brunch with friends! It does get busy, even on a Wednesday, so not ideal for sitting to study for many hours at a time.

Originally the Salvation Army Waioli Tea Room, a historical site built in 1922 and historically registered in 1991. Beautiful stone building surrounded by a garden full of greenery, trees and beautiful flowers. The Waioli Kitchen and Bakeshop is a brunch style cafe. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining areas. You place your orders up at the counter and they give you a number to place on your table. The service here was exceptional. We came with a pretty big group of 15 in our family including young children. We took up 2 large tables and the staff were nice and attentive. Looking at

What a super cute and hidden place to eat breakfast! Located in the lush greens of Manoa you have to keep your eyes open otherwise you'll miss the turn into Waioli's parking lot. My friend Julius and I had to go around a couple of times before we found the opening to get to this place. There is so much space to park and you wouldn't even realize it because of how the fauna of Manoa hides them well.
When you walk into the location you'll see various tables and seating. It's a very open seating style of place where you go to the front to order what you want and then you

This place was divine! Ample parking when I got there, but the lot was full when I was leaving. There's a line to make your way into the restaurant to place your order, pay, then find your seat. They have a nice selection of pastries at the front counter to add on to your order. The coffee situation was a little shaky at first being that there were grounds slipping out of the French press. The server noticed it right away and apologized. She came back with another pot.
Overall, the ambiance is great and so is the vibe of eating outside in the lush greenery. I can't wait to go back!

Excellent space tucked in the back of Manoa valley with plenty of open air.
Whenever I want to escape the busier eateries in town, I always find myself coming back to this place. I recommend coming to this place to socialize or get a little bit of work done. I would also say that this place is better for a coffee and a muffin since their menu is also a little limited.
If you were to order a full meal, I would say the price points would be around $15-25 a person. Their simple egg breakfast is also what I go for since it's a good amount to have with a baked good and coffee.

This bake shop is a gem nestled under the lush green canopies of Mānoa. Aside from the location and stunning natural beauty, the shop runs a vocational program to employ graduates of treatment programs to give people a second chance, and they are exceptionally kind, hard working people with a heart for service.
Our favorites are the short rib loco moco, croissant sandwich add ham and avocado, and papaya with chicken curry salad on the lighter side. They also have delicious kona coffee to accompany the wide selection of delicious pastries and fresh bread.

I've lived in Manoa the vast majority of my life and always passed by the Waioli Tea Room sign on Manoa road, but never dropped by. Recently, a friend suggested meeting up there for lunch, and I enjoyed it so much that I met up with another friend there for breakfast. The food and atmosphere is great!

After ordering you will need to pay for your items and wait for your order then look for an available table to dine if you are dining in.

We go to lunch here most Wednesdays. Their scones are to die for. I love the ginger/lemon one and m thg friend lives blueberry. We always order one of each to go to save for later after lunch. The staff is lovely. It's a short menu but we each have favorites that we order over and over, so lack of variety is not a problem for us. If you like a lot of variety, this is probably not for you.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
Food: my husband and I tried almost everything on the menu and there was not a thing that we didn’t like! Nice bonus is that they have an in-house bakery and baked good from there are delicious!
Ambiance: you feel like you are dining in the garden surrounded by beautiful plants and birds. So calming and relaxing!
Personnel: everyone who works here are amazing. Very nice and positive. Special shout out to Rosa, the cashier. His positive attitude and upbeat tone of voice are contagious:)

This is a lovely place in a dreamy location. I’m hesitant to review because I’m not sure I want more people to know about it. Please know this is a treasure and should be treated as such.
We were a large group of women that arrived early in the morning during the week, it was our first outing since the kids went back to school. We were treated like family here, such wonderful service! The food is quality and very reasonably priced. Plenty of seating (self seat) inside and outside under lanais.
There was a long line when we left and the parking lot was full. Morning people should plan on showing

My brother and I decided to take my mom out for her birthday brunch and we thought of coming to Waioli Tea Room since every single year my mom would always want to go to Zippy's, so we decided on having my mom try something new!
***What I ordered
**Breakfast Bowl (8/10)
This breakfast bowl came with fried rice, bacon, egg, and a slice multi-grain bread. I personally thought it wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad either! This bowl was very filling and it kinda reminds me of home cooking!
**Orange Juice (10/10)
I do not know what it is but their orange juice was REALLY

This place is a hidden gem! A hidden busy gem!
I Yelped for an acai bowl and Waioli was on the list. I had never heard of it and was very curious, so I drove up. If you don't know where you're going, you're gonna miss the driveway. This beautiful plantation house is hidden from street view, but once you find it, you're in for a treat!
I ordered the acai bowl, an almond croissant, and three scones to go: a blueberry, a lilikoi, and a ginger. I also ordered a coffee press which is for two people, but I hadn't had any real coffee since I've arrived on the island

Finally able to visit this hidden gem nestled in Manoa valley. Such a wonderful experience I'll definitely be back soon.
Ample parking, no reservations. You order and pay first then are assigned a number. Sit yourself on a table and they will bring the food out to you. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. No AC but the cool Manoa trade winds are refreshing.
Ambiance is so relaxing laid back and tranquil. The historical mansion just transforms you back in time you can't help but relax and enjoy your meal.
The selections for breakfast and lunch were limited but still something

Former CM Emi introduced me to this beautiful gem in Manoa, and I've been back several times since because their scones are the best on island.
Formerly known as the Waioli Tea Room, this historic treasure opened in 1922 as a vocational training faculty for orphans. Today, new owners Ross and Stef continue that legacy of community service and job training by employing former inmates and those struggling with substance abuse.

A piece of history and now a wonderful family owned restaurant.
Breakfast at 7 and lunch at 11, closes at 1 or 230.
The food is thoughtfully prepared. Love and dedication is definitely in this food. Price point isnt suspiciously cheap nor is it expensive, the portions are generous and the quality outstanding.
I started with the French press coffee and a fresh mixed berry scone.
The coffe was delightful. Smooth and not acidic, the order was enough for 2 people having a couple of cups each. Plenty! The scone was top notch, whenever someone names berries I always seem to get little to none but
