Psychology is my life's work. I feel very privileged to hear people's stories and help them find increased personal balance and healthier relationships. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities in my practice. My training emphasized understanding how each person's childhood and family background shaped who they are today.

I often use cognitive behavioral interventions to provide specific tools for change. My approach is individualized and practical. I want my clients to have a clearer understanding of what is troubling them as well as guidance in making changes. For many years I served as Professional Advisor to People Reaching Out, a community based organization dedicated to drug abuse prevention in young people.
Services
People come into my practice with a variety of concerns and questions. Anxiety and depression are frequent sources of pain. These may be related to relationship issues, current stresses or long standing internal struggles. As a therapist, I help people look at their ways of dealing with emotional pain, stress, and relationships.
You may call or email me to discuss your concerns and ask any questions you have about my practice. I prefer to speak by phone for at least a few minutes before scheduling the first appointment. This gives us both an opportunity to determine if I am the best person to help you. If I feel another therapist can better meet your needs, I will help you with an appropriate referral.
