Services
We are pleased to announce that in addition to operating in-person year-round, City High will continue a 4-day model including a weekly flexible 5th day for the 2021-2022 school year. Thanks to the overwhelming feedback we received from students and parents in our Annual Report survey in June, we were able to gather important feedback that helped to inform staff and administration during the formation of City High's 2021-2022 plans.
Our approach to the high school curriculum is fresh and highly effective: clustering subjects into key literacy areas and then demonstrating how these skills are relevant. All students are welcome at City Charter High School, including those with disabilities and learning difficulties. We are dedicated to keeping all learners together (preventing discrimination).
No two students are alike. So, we make sure to offer a diverse range of interests to keep them motivated and involved - because keeping kids engaged is what keeps them learning. Cultural field trips throughout all four years expand students' interests, open new horizons and create bonds with classmates.
When a student graduates from City Charter High School, they leave prepared for life - academically, technologically, personally and socially. Here are some ways we ensure this. Achieve PDE standards as measured by the Keystones, New Standards or approved Local Assessment. Attendance and punctuality are keys to academic success as well as success in the workplace.
Our priority at all times is to protect all students and staff from harm. We are proud to have earned an "A" Health and Safety Rating, according to niche.com. This is due to many factors including our robust facility security measures. But safety these days must also include things like meeting CDC protocols to prevent the spread of infectious disease.

Came to this school on Friday to pick up my child after school let out. It was my very first time coming here. I drove by the school confused to where the school pick up was, circled the block, then asked the school crossing guard where do I pull up to pick up my child in a friendly tone.
The crossing guard who is called Ms.Keisha was immediately hyper aggressive with me yelling "You gotta go, you can't park here, it's a bike lane, you'll get a ticket!!!"
I point out a SUV to her that's parked in the bike lane with it's hazard lights in front of the school

I started (and ended) City High freshman year. I came here by choice, not because my parents made me. I was very optimistic and excited to start, but unfortunately it was well below my expectations. Although the education is above average, they could not care less about mental health, and often seem to go out of their way to make things difficult. (is; I was told by 4 teachers that they liked to get me in trouble because my “reaction was funny”.) The rules are very extreme and often pointless (ie: i was yelled for putting my hair in a ponytail at lunch). Many of the teachers and all of the

I attended City High for a year and I absolutely hated every second of it. I constantly felt unsafe and targeted. The adults there act like children and it is not the type of environment that I would want my child in. For starters they don’t have metal detectors and they don’t check students when they enter the building, student got caught with drugs almost once a week. The staff there care for certain students that they feel will benefit them. One thing I did like was that they forced you to learn so I did learn a lot but it was not worth it. I went through a major depression. I was not being

I love it. This place is my home. It has its ups and downs, but overall its great. I just recently moved from Michigan, kinda close to Detroit. Seeing this reminds me of Detroit. Its in bad shape, but can definitely rebound. Just like i say in Detroit, Nothing Stops Detroit. Nothing Stops Pittsburgh.
