Dr. Rude is a graduate of Kentwood High School and the University of Puget Sound, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. He always knew he wanted to be a healthcare provider and dentistry provided an opportunity for him to interact with people one on one, solve difficult problems, and work with his hands.
Kristie started off as a patient of Rude Family Dentistry in 1978. In 1988 Kristie joined the practice working as a dental assistant before moving into the role of office manager. She is likely the first friendly face you'll meet when you walk into the practice. Because of how long she has worked at the practice, so many patients are friends and feel like family.

Thinking I was making a convenient move on my part, I decided to try a dentist in the bldg I work in. Leaving a dental practice I had been going to for 32 years! Big mistake, and when I called to make a appointment to come back it was no problem. This practice is wonderful and just like visiting with family. We’ve been coming to Rude Family Dentistry for 45 years. Over the decades we have always received the best care. Danny and Joel have gone out of their way to provide routine and, in some cases, emergency care for us as a family. We always highly recommend Rude Family Dentistry! Friendly, kind, and accommodating: I took my elderly mother for a cleaning. In spite of her severe hearing loss, they were able to direct her successfully. Dr. Rude also counseled with me about whether she needed, at her age, more aggressive treatments for gum disease as well as what that would entail. There was absolutely no pressure, and we agreed on a wait and see approach.

Dr. Rude and staff are always thorough and very friendly. They are going the extra mile to keep everyone safe during this time of COVID. The few times that I have needed procedures, they took the time to make them the most comfortable and pain free dental procedures that I have ever had. Because of the most excellent services that Doctor Rude and his team of professionals provide, we travel over an an hour each way to our appointments. We truly feel like we are visiting family since we have developed a wonderful relationship with Doctor Rude and his staff since early 2000’s. Best dentist(s) ever...Dr. Danny (retired) and his son and successor of the dentistry practice, Dr. Joel! Both of my kids went to Drs. Rude from preschool through high school and neither one ever had a cavity thanks to the excellent dental care and guaranteed sealants.
