As a therapist I strive to meet my clients where they are emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I believe in creating a warm, safe and trusting space that will allow us, as therapist and client, to work through the challenges being faced. I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma, sexual and physical abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression and low self esteem.
I believe in taking a nonjudgmental stance in addressing my client's challenges, and I aim to implement appropriate, effective, empirically supported treatment.

Services
It's easy for me to list all of my accomplishments and specialties, but I think it's more important you get to know more about who I really am. Am I the right fit to help you with the issues or problems you're facing? I knew I wanted to help people long before I graduated from Stony Brook University with a cum laude specialization in trauma.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are experiencing life changes or stressful situations and others may be struggling with general feelings of anxiety and depression. Whatever the cause, everyone has times in life when they need help overcoming unwanted obstacles and getting through periods of uncertainty.
I know exactly how you're feeling - the fear and uncertainty of walking into an office and being vulnerable with someone you don't even know. Maybe you don't even believe that you need therapy. Going to therapy is not by any means an admission that something is wrong with you. Instead, it's an admission that you're ready to make a difference.
