Great dentistry is a passion for our team. We work hard to provide our patients with excellent dental care in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Bruce E. Matthews, DDS is a Wilmington native. He graduated from the University of Delaware and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University.
At our Wilmington dental office, we recognize that every patient is special! Brian Matthews, DMD is a 2006 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a degree in Biology/Neuroscience. After of year of Neurologic research at Penn, Dr. Matthews entered Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he achieved membership to various academic honor societies. He graduated in 2011, and began a General Practice Residency at Christiana Care Health System, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Katie Matthews, DMD is from Hamilton Square, NJ. She completed her education in Philadelphia, PA, worked in private practice, and was an attending at a pediatric dental residency program for a number of years. She recently joined her husband and father-in-law in the family practice of Bruce Matthews, DDS and continues to practice at the local children's hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Dental emergencies need treatment right away, and it's always best to call upon a trusted dentist in your time of need. If you injure a tooth, call! When it comes to emergencies, it's always best to be prepared. Dental emergencies are no exception, and while you can't plan for every possible tooth injury that may occur, you can know what you'll do and how you'll respond if the time ever comes.

The staff at Bruce E. Matthews DDS PA is extremely friendly and considerate. They are understanding to those who are afraid of the dentist. Their compassionate demeanor helps to alleviate my anxiousness. You can also listen to music on them (I usually bring my wireless headphones). They do not attempt to "upsell" dental procedures. I've been coming here for a few years and have only needed a cavity filling once. It was a quick and easy procedure, and the Dentist was very flexible.

Have been going to this office for over 30 years. Dr. Bruce Matthews and his sons are the best! Thank you Dr. Daniel Matthews for the excellent job you did or repairing my tooth yesterday. Always a wonderful experience coming to see my Dentist here and his wonderful staff! My Hygienist, Tiffany is awesome 😊 so professional and friendly. The service here is outstanding!!! I actually look forward to my visits!! I highly recommend Dr Bruce and his amazing team of Dr's and staff!! Dr Dan and Dr Brian are also exceptional. What a team!! You are all simply incredible!! Thank you for always making me feel at home and like family.

They are great! My son came back from Nashville, TN for a visit. He when to a dentist in Nashville and was told they couldn't clean his teeth, so they scheduled him to go to a periodontist. We told him cancel appointment and call Dr. Matthews for an appoint for he was coming home for a visit at Easter. Sure enough no gum problems his gums and teeth are fine. It's important to go to a trusted practitioner. We have been going to Dr. Matthews office for over 20 years.

Love this office, the staff, the hygienists and the docs. On the 2 occasions in the past where I needed to be seen quickly because I was going out of town, they were always accommodating. In addition, my mother, whose dentist had recently retired, had her crown come off. I called up the office, they scheduled her quickly and she was taken care of.
