Stepping Stone Preschool and Day Care Center is an early childhood learning center that allows children to be true children exploring, socializing and learning. We have been caring and educating children for over 30 years. At Stepping Stone Preschool and Day Care Center we protect and advocate for children to be allowed to play as well as learn.
The academics needed for kindergarten and first grade are integrated throughout the day in both large group and small group times. We strive to empower children so that their self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in a supportive environment. We are open 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. We are located off of Route 9 in Latham near the Lexus car dealership.

We welcome the opportunity to explore the different rooms and the philosophy of the center with you. Please call the center and arrange a time to tour the center and talk with our staff. If you are interested in one of these spots please email us and we can send you more information and then arrange a tour.
It is also a useful guide to daycare facilities in NY. Once you are ready to enroll your child with us, please set up an appointment so we can best assist you. Our son has been at stepping stone since the infant room and now is in the toddler room. They are absolutely amazing! He is starting to say letters and numbers at 1 1/2. Knows his teachers names... comes home exhausted. I love this daycare! I was told to call if I needed updates during the day but I know he is being cared for to the best of any… ability and don’t even feel the need to. I just love it there he loves it there. I am going to be sad when he has to go to school because I’m very pleased with Stepping Stone. Good work teachers and good work owners you guys are awesome

By far the best daycare and preschool in the capital district. The teachers are caring, down to earth and thoroughly enjoy the kids. Both of our children have thrived at Stepping Stones, and their growth and development socially and academically have exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Stepping Stones to any parent looking for reasonably priced childcare and exceptional care!
