Jamilla Yipp Photography

We've used Jamilla three times now: for newborn photos, Christmas photos and 1 year photos for my daughter/our family. She's been great every time! She makes it fun for my daughter and has quick turnaround on sending over the edited photos after the shoot. This past time we had a scheduling issue that was outside of Jamilla's control, and she went above and beyond to make it right for our family. We love working with her!

Jamilla got some great shots of our long-awaited reunion with our 6 and 2 yr old granddaughters and then of the larger family. She was very patient with the girls and made it fun, and included a few shots outside her studio. Hoping we can return to Jamilla for a future session.

Jamilla is an amazing photographer and does a great job working effectively and efficiently with my little one. She can always get him to sit still and smile for the camera(which I can never do). She is extremely professional and has done pictures for us in her studio as well as at our home.

Jamilla did a newborn shoot for us in February 2020, both at the hospital and again in our home. She was fantastic!! She was calm, relaxed and amazing with both our baby and our 4-yr-old. She also made sure to get plenty of photos of each parent with the newborn — something I didn’t realize that I would cherish as much as I already do. We hired her because we loved her photography portfolio but will use her again because she was so easy to work with and kept us all happy during the shoots. Thanks Jamilla!

Jamilla really delivered the most lovely family pics we could have hoped for. The weather was grey and it rained all morning, but Jamilla trucked her equipment out to meet us and captured beautiful shots of all of us. My 6 year old is a notoriously fickle picture-taker, and she was able to get her to smile a real authentic smile and produced some fantastic sibling shots. I even liked the pictures with me in them! We've worked with a few photographers over the years and Jamilla has been our favorite to date. We'll definitely hire her again!

Jamilla has a keen eye and sense for capturing moments. We have worked with her for the last three years for family photos. The products always take us by surprise because of what she captures on her camera: tiny moments of glances, laughters and tenderness. She is also amazing w kids, being a parent herself. Jamilla is amazing to work with. She did my birth photos for my 3rd child and I was very nervous about the experience because I had not done photos for a birth before. But she made the whole experience very easy and the pictures have been a true gift! At one point, when my midwife and husband had stepped out and I was having hard contractions, she was there talking me through them! But then, when everyone was back and things started really going, she just sorta melted into the background.
