Services
CWM Environmental was originally founded in 1985 in Kittanning PA, with the purpose of handling the water analysis requirements of the mining industry. David Kohl, the current owner and president of CWM, was part of the small group from W.D. Mohney & Associates who founded and worked in the laboratory.
For over 30 years we have consistently provided top quality standards that ensure technically reliable and defensible data for our clients. At CWM we work in compliance with state and federal government regulatory standards as a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Accredited Laboratories (PAAEL), and our laboratories are both NELAP & VAP certified.
CWM's groundwater team performs groundwater and surface water sampling from landfills and industrial sites five days a week, 52 weeks a year. We're efficient, cost-effective, and use the latest equipment and approved methods. Our samplers use submersible pumps, low flow micro purge bladder pumps, and traditional bailers for sampling depending on the client's requirement.
Landfills receiving more than 20 tons of solid waste per day are required to monitor underlying groundwater during active life and post-closure for 62 constituents listed in 40 CFR part 258. Electric utilities that generate over 110 million tons of CCRs with 60 percent being disposed of in landfills and surface impounds.
CWM is a leader in Legionella programs for Healthcare Facilities. We've partnered with Armstrong Nutrition and IDEXX to assist healthcare facilities in developing Legionella Water Management Programs & set-up ongoing testing. I would recommend trying another company. I paid for my water test and had to follow up to get them to ship the test kit. They provided a shipping label that was ground for a test that had to be returned in 48hours. Drove there to drop it off and the doors are locked without any instructions what to do. Called customer service, they NEVER answer. Had to randomly dial extensions to get somebody to explain how to hand over the sample. Wait and wait for results....Call customer service, no answer so I leave a message. Finally get my report. This is a service they shouldn’t offer since they clearly
