Although water powered mills did play an important role in American history, it is now known that many of these abandoned structures have had dramatic impacts on the waters in which they were built. Beran Environmental Services has positioned itself as a leading expert in dam removal and stream restoration, working closely with landowners, non-profit organizations, and the regulatory community.
Beran Environmental Services has provided resource construction and restoration services since it's onset. We are continually recognized as leading experts in the field for our work on dam removal projects, stream construction and restoration, wetland mitigation and restoration, streambank stabilization, bio-engineering projects, and pond construction and rehabilitation.
Environmental permitting has become increasingly complicated at federal, state, and local levels across all of our serviced industries. Our staff has been carefully selected to provide the knowledge and experience needed to provide these industries with the tools necessary to fulfill these complex requirements.
Wetlands are regulated by both the state and federal government and require permits prior to impact and/or encroachment. Their work has been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and the US Army Corp of Engineers. Beran Environmental Services has a qualified and experienced staff of environmental biologists skilled in wetland delineation.
