McNutt Law Firm PLLC has always wanted to practice in family law - from her start as a paralegal and her time as a foster parent - she knew that helping families was her calling. After law school, she began her practice in family law in order to help children and families in transition. Family law cases are tough, and we approach each case with an open mind.

On a personal level, McNutt Law Firm PLLC has gone through the adoption process with her own children and knows both sides - client and attorney. Child support is frequently at issue in family law proceedings. Whenever custody and parenting time is in dispute, child support issues come up as well. For the most part, child support issues are fairly straightforward. Child support is determined based on a formula which considers a number of factors, including parenting time, income and health insurance among others.
As a caring and compassionate foster parent, McNutt Law Firm PLLC understands the foster system and the Child Protective Services system on a personal level. She has adopted children that were part of the system. Her experience with CPS cases goes far beyond most attorneys and law firms. The issue of CPS defense is personal for our law firm.

I called the McNutt Law Firm with only 3 weeks before my hearing and I needed a lot of stuff done for my particular situation. They were professional, they were swift, THEY KEPT ME IN THE LOOP(that’s a big one for me. I would get calls just to say, “hey, this is where we’re at right now, we got some good stuff. Highly recommend Jaqui and her team when it comes to family law. When my wife and I started looking for an attorney it was a quick search due to our time frame. The moment I came across her page I knew I wanted her to represent me. She was helpful in every way possible, kept in full contact whenever we had something that needed to get done and was so caring in such a delicate matter. This is to the fathers who feel as if nobody cares and hope of equal visitation is only a dream. My hero for the past three years has been Jacqui McNutt, a very confident, tough lawyer who was always there when I had a question or concern. On my final hearing day (after a three year battle) Jacqui was able to squash the negative nonsense brought on… by the plaintiff, to include removing a requested supervised visitation and turning it into overnight weekends starting immediately.
