18 USCS 922(g) is a federal statute precluding citizens from possessing or having a gun. It bars possession of firearms and handguns if you are convicted of a misdemeanor or felony domestic violence crime. Simple possession of a firearm or handgun will land you in the Federal Bureau of Prisons if you have EVER been convicted of a Domestic Violence Misdemeanor.
Domestic abuse is almost anything you can think of that mentally, emotionally or physically hurts another. It is really meant for the person who is trapped and being held hopeless by another, aka, real mental hurt or torture. The federal government spearheaded this a while back with main focus of women being trapped in prostitution in foreign countries, isolated from those who can communicate with these individuals.

Methamphetamine specific laws were just too late. Pill control was crucial in stopping the manufacturing of methamphetamine, but now it simply comes in from Mexico, unfettered and in a pure amount. Every client of mine says that in 2017 methamphetamine is only 20% or less of what it cost in 2015. Be aware of these laws.
So, here is a phenomena. The marijuana trials are hard to win. You can't keep the jury on board during selection, or voir dire. Oddly, during voir dire in a larger amount of weight case in Jefferson County, Louisville the jury would not stop talking about marijuana. Two fireman and an EMS worker were on the original 45 and they stated to the prosecutor that they could not find someone guilty of a charge relating to marijuana.
They are interesting cases to try. I have had 4 murder trials. One was a capital murder, death qualified, my client was acquitted and everyone else plead. Two cases they were found guilty of Manslaughter in the Second Degree, and a Robbery was dismissed. The murder trial is an unusual circumstance in that in each trial I was moving for acquittal, not a lessor included.
Mr. McLeod and his over 17 years experience handled bank account fraud, larceny, theft, kiting funds, prescription fraud, counterfeit money, check kiting, forged financial instruments, forged checking account documents, credit card fraud, structuring, theft by deception misdemeanor and felony, business related fraud, pension scams, tax fraud, forged prescriptions, criminal possession of a forged instrument, tax evasion and more.
Robbery, or forceful theft, is punished right up there with some homicides, rapes and kidnapping. 10 to 20 years at 85% makes it an unsavory charge. Berry and Merriweather. Merriweather was an alleged car jacking where shots were fired into the vehicle. Officers fell in behind whoever did it and we know the nephew did because he was caught trying to run from the getaway car.

Brendan McLeod is a great attorney and I highly recommend him! When I contacted Brendan, I was facing some serious charges. He immediately knew how to handle my case and fought aggressively for my best interests. Throughout the whole process Brendan put my mind at ease , kept me informed , and also set my expectations realistically. He has an incredible grasp of the legal system and knows how to effectively represent his clients.

I retained Mr. McLeod for a case in Louisville, but he told me he had this site to. New "again" to Louisville. Areas changed a little bit and found myself in more trouble than it ever should have been. New "again" to Mr. McLeod and really appreciated his straight shooting style. He says he is the "I am not the attorney who will make you worry about it." Mr. McLeod told me not to worry about the case and that the charges were not correct. He said they will not be felonies. I plead down to something, seemingly minimal, and they will be expunged in a year. A good feeling when overwhelmed here in Louisville

I searched for Oldham County with a few key terms and Mr. McLeod was the only attorney to show up, period! Way to go! Leaving reviews to help your law offices is my pleasure! I am only returning the favor. Ladies and gentlemen, you are at a crossroads. Make the right decision and you will be clearing out of troubles very quickly. It seems daunting, but with Mr. McLeod it wasn't. Best wishes.

Brendan, I am sorry, Mr. McLeod! Brendan handled the juvenile court system like an expert. My daughter and I never worried about the outcome. This is because he said he had worked these types of cases before, and really, he must have. It was over and I am grateful that from the moment we contact Brendan that he put my mind at ease. And my daughter's mind too, but I think I was doing her worrying for her! Thank you so much. I wish you did family court! I will make it worth your while! lol. Thank you.
