Services
The Village at the Harbor was born from the vision of two long-time Islanders who saw the need for senior housing in a county with limited options. Together they recruited other like-minded individuals to invest and the "Village" was born. Established and opened for business in 2008, the Village has become a leader in senior housing and providing exceptional care since the doors officially opened.
What happens when you find a collection of creative people? An activity program that goes far beyond bingo. We shy away from a simple one size fits all approach to our programs. Each of our residents are unique individuals and we celebrate their diversity and create unique and special programs for each of them.
When caring for our residents, we dive deep into their history and preferences to establish a fantastic wellness program. Each resident has their own unique care plan that features choice and collaboration. We honor the varied lifestyles and customize our program to celebrate each resident as a unique person and deliver care in a way that they want.
We tend to be optimists around here and like to think that people just really enjoy staying with us. In fact, we know that our Respite program is a pretty well-kept secret and we do really want to get the word out. For many Islanders, a hospitalization or recent rehabilitation stay may leave you not quite ready to go home but you can't wait to leave your current care setting.

Clean and well maintained facility. Residents and staff are very kind and welcoming to visitors. There is always a well balanced variety of activities and entertainment options. Meals here are wonderful, desserts are amazing and there are always beverages readily available. It's refreshing to see staff members that are genuinely happy to be at work and provides comfort knowing that loved ones are well cared for.

My mother lives in this faciity and it is wonderful. The staff is very caring and some even have their own parents living there. I like the small size and personal care every resident receives. If there is an issue I am also called and informed. Having my mom be able to stay on the island she loves with people I know I can trust is infinitely comforting. And the other reviews are right about the food, it is amazing!

Small facility but very caring staff. Meals are consistently very good. Grounds well cared for. Price seemed comparable to what we found in AZ. Small activity center but it is immediately adjacent to the Senior Center for additional activities. Bank and market across the street. Thrift store a block away.

This is a wonderful, small assisted living facility. It is warm & cozy and feels like a big family. It consistently scores well in state inspections and has a excellent resident satisfaction ranking. All meals are made from scratch and are served restaurant style. The home made dessert is the highlight of each dinner. Popular island musicians appear almost daily to perform. Easy walking (same block) access to the market, bank, and senior center. Located just three blocks from the clinic and town core with easy taxi access.
