Erin has been working at Colors By Kim since 2007. She is Redken Color-Certified, is a Redken Specialist, and is Certified in Pureology haircare products. She loves keeping up with the newest techniques in foiling, color, cut, and styling. She is very passionate about finding the perfect products to help her guests maintain their perfect style and color.
Colors by Kim opened in 1996 with just Kimberly Mott and three styling stations. How things have grown and evolved! Our redesigned 3000-foot salon with over 30 employees includes an amazing front desk team, hair stylists, nail technicians, makeup artists, skin care specialists, massage therapists, and Redken color specialists.
Immediately upon graduation from massage school, Cecilia began developing her massage techniques at chiropractic centers. She came to CBK in 2007 to help Kim create and develop massage and bodywork services for the growing salon. Cecilia believes in the powerfully positive effect massage has on the body both physically and emotionally.
Mary Jo has been a licensed nail technician since 1994. She has resided in Trenton most of her life and is a Trenton High School graduate. In 2008, she successfully completed the CND Education Master Course. Throughout her career, Mary Jo has also attended many classes to keep abreast on new and upcoming technology in the manicure/pedicure industry.
Laura is an amazing up-and-coming stylist who joined our team after graduating from the Paul Mitchell School. She enjoys offering services such as blonding, hair coloring, manicures, pedicures, and more! Laura believes that continuing her education and staying up to date with all the latest trends will help her succeed personally and professionally.

DEVON SHOULD BE FIRED. I can't believe they continue to employee someone who lies about what services she provides I trusted her to wax my eyebrows and she completely ruined them. She got wax in my hair, ripped off half my eyebrows and didn't touch the other side. I can't believe she would do this to someone instead of just saying she doesn't do eyebrows. I've grown more disgusted with the salon as the years have gone by and this the last I will go here. I hope no one has to go through what I just went through. DO NOT GO HERE!

I'm the type of person that always gets shy to complain because I don't wanna hurt someone's feelings. But just decided to put it here... I went to this salon for haircut and color 10/21/2021 at 3pm, I picked this salon because it has amazing reviews but I wish I didn't. What I didn't like is how the lady did my hair. First, I told her to cut my hair not lower than my waist but she cut it shorter than I anticipated. Second, this is not the first time I get my hair dyed from the salon and I can't help but to compare... the past salons that did my hair they put color while I'm seated but the lady

I booked an appointment with Laura (an experienced colorist) to fix the awful coloring service I received at another salon a week prior. She was so patient with me, and really took her time to help me get the look I wanted. She did a test strand of bleach, and brought over different shades to choose from. She didn't rush me once. She was super sweet, and kind; (along with the rest of the staff.) I'm not saying I'm glad my hair was screwed up prior, but I'm glad it lead me to Laura. If you have hair anxiety like me...don't hesitate to book with Laura. ☺

I have been going to Colors By Kim for over 10 years and always walk out with a little pep in my step. Not just from their great service and feeling good about my hair, but from great conversation too! I see both Erin and Maria (pending my crazy schedule) and they are always up for whatever hair transformation I throw at them — over the years they have taken me from my natural hair color to blonde balayage, darker brown, red and even drastic haircuts too. I’m pretty particular with who touches my hair and these ladies never disappoint ♥️

I had a TERRIBLE experience here. I did my homework and made my first appointment at Colors by Kim after reading good reviews. My appointment was for a haircut and highlights. I sat in Erin's chair for 7 hours and received a good haircut, but the coloring debacle that ensued for hours - processing and correcting multiple times - left me with a blistered scalp, and yellow straw. Erin forwarded my complaints to the salon owner, Kim, who instead of coming up with a plan to fix my hair like I asked, made the situation far worse with her dismissive attitude and finger pointing. I write this review after having to go to another salon and have nearly 6 inches of dead hair cut off. I went in with high hopes, a little nervous because my girl who did my hair for years retired at another salon, and thought it was stunning on the inside.

Went in for a root touch up and blow dry. I saw a "lower level" stylist (they do their pricing based on levels). My color was $58. She only did the first 4 inches from root. She said she needed extra color because I have a lot of hair. Ok, I guess I can see that. She charged me 25 DOLLARS TO BLOW DRY MY HAIR. All she did was round brush it and blow dry. That's it. I talked to the receptionist and she said blow drying is not included with a color. Um what? So you color my hair, and I have to pay extra for you to dry it in order for me to see if it is what I wanted? Is this serious

I give it 2 stars only because I loved the atmosphere and my stylist was nice. However, I came in wanting to be more blonde with full highlights, and ended up with darker colored PARTIAL highlights and my hair was darker and duller than when I went in. My hair did not turn out the way I wanted it. People even asked me if I darkened my hair. Also, when I got home I noticed A TON of hair dye all over my neck and on the side of my face. I paid 190.00 for the color, cut and conditioning treatment. What a waste

I've been going to Colors by Kim for a very long time and have always been reasonably happy with the results. Until this last time I went. I went to Erin to get my golden blonde hair covered up and my split ends cut off. Instead I got five inches cut off, unevenly to add. The top layers of my hair are longer than the bottom layers and is cut in a diagonal line. The top of my head is silver but when I put it in a bun the entire back of my head is still brown. And to top it off my ears have been burned or irritated from the bleach and have been burning and itching for three days now. My used

For year and years I have always gone to places like Cindy's nails, ViVi's nails and Kiss nails and I always thought I was getting okay service until I came to a place like Colors by Kim.
Kathy did my nails and they turned out BETTER than the picture I had shown her. She was so detailed, neat, and talented. All of her tools were clean, she was organized, funny, and professional!
Kelly did my eyebrows - it was painless! She kept me educated about which wax would be best for me and told me about the benefits of using a soy based wax.

Thank goodness for Juila! She was very informative and a total pro. I should have listened to my intuition and gone her first. Instead, I made a very ENORMOUS mistake and had my hair butchered and "colored" by some inept employee at Revive salon (see reviews on yelp & Facebook) first. Thankfully, Julia was able to do the color that I was interested in and correct the overall botched color and whatever else the revive person was completely unqualified to do. I will be back to Colors by Kim and look forward to my whole family going there for the excellent service and spa selection they
