We are happy to welcome registered visitors to the garden on Friday and Saturday evenings and during the day every Sunday. Hidden in the heart of Pasadena, this historic jewel, that was once reserved for the enjoyment of an aristocratic Pasadena couple, has been re-imagined as a space to be shared.

Conceived in the 1930s as a private estate garden, and hidden from view for decades, a historic restoration brings new purpose to this place of special beauty. Please visit our Getting Here page for information and maps, including local streets, freeways and available public transportation options.

A small garden, not well maintained, pond is dirty. I have been to many japanese gardens and this is definitely not worth the $12 admission fee.

This place is a great find. The garden is so tranquil and relaxing. The tea house is amazing and authentic. There is so much history surrounding this unique Japanese Garden. Great for families to visit. A nice spot to simply relax and enjoy nature. 😉

Once the backyard of a residential home now a large garden. Fine variety of plants with many places to sit and admire. A couple of ponds with Koi. Quite overgrown in areas. There are restrooms.

Beautiful Japanese Botanical Gardens. The property owners sat with us for awhile and gave us the history of the gardens which we so appreciated and enjoyed. This is a place to come and find peace. Stay for awhile.

Lovely garden! We had a wedding there and it was absolutely wonderful. Both the ceremony and reception were in the garden and we couldn't have been more pleased with how well everything went and how beautiful it was during both the day and evening.

Is a great place for relaxing and peace. Such a beautiful place. You can feed the fish there as well for only $0.50 which is a pretty good deal. Would definitely recommend.

It was a beautiful and peaceful experience. Parked on Arlington right next to the entrance. Gotta live free and easy parking. The admission price was very reasonable and I was able to make reservations the day before. I emailed the staff to ask questions and received a response very quickly. The grounds were gorgeous and mostly covered making it perfect to visit at anytime of year. There was also plenty of seating all throughout the gardens.

So peaceful, so beautiful. Hidden in a residential area because it originally was a private residence. You must visit this little gem. Bring a friend and a snack. My mister and I are sitting here enjoying Japanese music being performed live. Very meditative. No food/beverage sold here. A little gift shop is on the grounds.
