Join the excitement in the auction saleroom at our Houston galleries at 6116 Skyline Drive. You can register during the preview exhibition the week before or the day of the auction at the Registration window in the building lobby. The auction begins with the first lot and the auctioneer will open each lot in order - starting the bidding at either where advance bidding has already reached or a bit below the reserve price.
If you are the highest bidder for a lot, you will receive an invoice by email within a few days of the auction. Payments are due within 5 days of the auction. Your invoice will include a link to make payment by credit card. To pay by check, cash or wire, please contact our settlements department directly at (713) 524-6751.
Condition reports and additional information is available on the online catalogs. We welcome a call or email with any additional questions you might have regarding a particular lot. While we try to be as accurate as possible, our condition reports are subjective descriptions of the readily apparent conditions and may have limitations.
Give us a call to discuss what you are looking to sell, send us an email with good general pictures of your items, or submit through our Estimate Request form. We are seeking property of a value of at least $1,000 or more. We will request additional pictures and information if necessary - or coordinate a visit to see the items in person at our galleries or at your location.

Some of the highest Seller's commission rates in the industry-30%
Will promise lower rates sometimes but won't fulfill agreement or even release payment at all. Very Dishonest. Horrible communication. Sell elsewhere. There are many HONEST galleries out there and they don't charge 30%. It's important to give your items to a trustworthy gallery.

I found out the hard way that this auction house scams buyers and sellers. Bought an expensive "jade" piece, ended up being cheap soapstone. Also bought an expensive "antique" portrait, ended up being a cheap contemporary piece from the 20th century. No refunds, no returns. I'm stuck with these cheap pieces that I paid heavily for. Took them to another auction house in Texas who asked me why I would even step foot in the infamous Simpson Galleries!? Also heard of these scammers not paying consignors proceeds from sales. Don't find out the hard way as I did--stay far away from this joint. They are

I've bid with this auction house previously and won once, but in their most recent auction I placed bids on five lots and was the high bidder on two of them. I faxed my absentee bids to them and my fax machine confirmed that the fax went through successfully. Simpson lost my bids with no explanation, so I wouldn't waste time going through their catalogs and submitting bids on anything again.

The auctions at Simpson Galleries are run extremely professionally, from the owners to the office staff to the guys in the warehouse that take great care with helping you load up your purchases. I've bought a number of wonderful items here and it has been a great experience every time -- the quality has been exquisite and the condition has been even better than shown in the photographs. Bidding is robust and the array of items is vast so it's a great experience for both buyers and sellers. Highly recommend.

Extremely poor communication. It didn’t have a good auction catalogue advertisement. It’s a weak gallery to consign with. If you’re an out of state consignor you have to pay for the shipping cost and arrangement. I have a very disappointed experienced. I would definitely consign somewhere else. Lots of galleries way better than this one.
