Vero Beach Karate Association
At VBKA we teach two martial arts styles to all ages: Karate (forms, katas) and Jiu-Jitsu (self-defense). Judo and Weapons Training are also integral parts of the program (age-appropriate). The Vero Beach Karate Association has been offering camps to young people for over fifteen years. The camp schedule follows the public school system, and camp sessions start as soon as school is out for the summer and end when school resumes.

VBKA also provides holiday camps during the winter holiday season, as well as a spring break camp. Cardio-Karate (Aerobic Kickboxing) is a great way for busy adults who are not interested in earning a black belt to benefit from what the martial arts has to offer. They can dress comfortably and have a lot of fun getting in shape, plus they learn a great deal of self-defense.
Services
Students from VBKA and several visiting martial arts schools line up by rank as the Annual VBKA Tournament gets underway. Our Head Instructor, Mr. Willis, decided in the early years of this Association that the martial arts program could be a vehicle for developing people in all areas of their lives.
The formation of children into confident, well-mannered, and successful young adults is a process that includes caring and supportive parents, inspiring teachers, wholesome enrichment activities, well-developed programs, and positive role models.

While the martial arts is the center of what we do at the Vero Beach Karate Association, we learned many years ago that it could also be a vehicle to enrich people's lives through character building and personal development activities. We have carefully developed a variety of worthwhile and fulfilling activities, and these "enrichment" activities distinguish VBKA from many other martial arts schools.
Thank you, not only for the scholarship, but for everything that you have taught me over the past twelve years. Thank you for the lifelong friendships that you have allowed me to make through the summer camp programs. Thank you for following my growth inside and outside of the karate school. Finally, thank you for teaching me how to be a well-rounded young man.
The Vero Beach Karate Association is celebrating 50 years of providing high quality martial arts training in Vero Beach and surrounding areas. We announce the continuation of our program with our new owners, Jason and Shannon Wesley. Jason and Shannon began training at the Vero Beach Karate Association as children.
The "TNTs" or Tiny Tots Program is for children ages 5 and 6, and it is one of the most popular programs. It was designed by Mrs. Paulette Zeran, a 7th Degree Black Belt, who continues to offer guidance and leadership for the TNT program. The TNT Program incorporates age specific self-defense techniques with many other valuable skills, such as concentration, coordination, focus, balance, and speed.

I have attended this school for over 10 years now. A great family oriented program with classes for ages 5 to 95 and beyond. On top of Karate and Jiu Jitsu they also have Judo, Tai Chi and Kick boxing classes.

Fantastic! It is a pleasure having trained at this school for many years. The best part is that it is for all ages. Truly family centered. My wife, daughter and I trained at the school and it was a great experience for all. The scholarship fund for the black belt seniors in high school is a great benefit also.

My boys have been attending VBKA for years and we as a family are very satisfied with the holistic approach VBKA takes.
It's not just a karate studio. It's about developing the self and they do a great job. From karate to music to dance to manners to scholastic success VBKA improves them all.
I am very happy and glad I've sent both my boys to VBKA and I know they enjoy it too. Five Stars!
