Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, Inc. has been providing dignified, quality funeral services to families for many years. We believe that while every death should be mourned, every life should be honored and celebrated. Our compassionate, dedicated staff guides each family through the many decisions that need to be made.

It is our goal to assist your family with all aspects of the funeral, cremation or memorial service you feel best suits your loved ones' wishes. Please feel free to browse our pages to learn more about pre-planning a funeral and grief support, as well as the traditional funeral and cremation services that we have to offer.
Services
In 1890, the Mattle family started our tradition of providing quality funeral services with Mattle Funeral Home at 300 Cumberland Street in Rochester, NY. In 1958 the business was moved to 853 Culver Road, near the corner of East Main Street.

The new location was not only known for providing exceptional service to families in their times of need, but also for the beautiful rose gardens where many newly married couples would come to have wedding photos taken.Malcolm Nulton, a well-respected funeral director in the Rochester area for many years, started the Nulton Funeral Home, with his wife, Joanne, at 1704 Penfield Rd., Penfield, NY in 1962.
Jeff is a native of Rome, NY. The youngest of eight children, Jeff is a 1984 graduate of Rome Catholic High School and 1986 graduate of SUNY Canton, with a degree in Mortuary Science. After earning his funeral directors license in 1987, Jeff began serving families in the Rochester area in 1988. Jeff is married to Robin (Boyce) Jennings, an elementary school administrator with the Webster School District.
Directions from the North: Route 590 South to 490 East. First exit off 490 East is exit 22, Penfield Road. Exit and turn left onto Penfield Road. Continue straight for almost 3 miles, to the end of the road, the funeral home is the last driveway on the left, just past Delta Sonic Car Wash. Directions from the South: Route 390 North to Route 590 North to Route 490 East.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.

Handheld our way through a most difficult time. Took care of everything. Went above and beyond to meet our situation with sincere caring. These are good people, esp Mr. Jennings, and Scott. Even picking an urn was made as comforting as possible. It felt like we were in someone's dining room. There were many different urns of varying materials and for special purposes such as scattering, green burial, water burial, dissolving rock salt sculptures, and beautiful mantle display pieces from traditional to modern materials and from classic to contemporary designs, all extremely tasteful and selected

Was at the funeral home recently, the woman directing people entering did not clarify herself on the directions for entering. People were going every which way. Some people were upset and actually left. I was not going the right way when entering and was told by the director very nasty. I told him I did not appreciate being spoken to like that and his response to me was sorry I am not very intelligent!!! He then stated if I didn’t like it I would be thrown out. I am 66 years old and have never been talk to like that. He was totally unprofessional!!! Showed no class. They should have just apologized

Jeff and his staff were excellent. All the I’s were dotted and T’s were crossed. They did a great job from beginning to end. Celebrating our father’s life was seamless. Thanks Jeff.

Jeff may be able the nicest, most genuine person I have ever met. He did a great job with both my parents’ arrangements. He made a very sad time, manageable. I can not say enough about them. I HIGHLY recommend Jennings Nulton and Mattel.
