LANTERN HOUSE HAS VERY ACCOMODATING ATMOSPHERE. HELFUL AND RELIABLE MANAGEMENT. THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN. THE BREAKFAST THAT WAS SERVED WAS ENOUGH TO GO FOR THE MORNING.

The best thing about this hotel was the bed. Comfortable soft pillow top. Everything else was fair. Can you image a motel that only serves coffee (and cereal!!!) on weekends, but not during the week? No coffee maker in the room so we had to go out on a Monday morning and on the way home, got rear-ended!! If there were coffee service available this wouldn't have happened.
We took the Jacuzzi "suite?" What was "Suite" about it? It was a jetted tub that barely fit one person, let alone two. And for $200/night totally not worth the value. Also, bring your own hair dryer. This room had a microwave

A dump.
no other way to define this place. the manager is a sleazy character. the room is totally overpriced: $223 dollar a night for this dump when for a similar price you can have a spectacularly clean Hilton Hotel 20 minutes north... a mystery how this place 1) has not been yet condemned for unsanitary conditions and 2) stays in business
We paid cash and as soon as we saw the room (calling it a room require a little bit of imagination .... more a stinky broom closet with peeling walls and stained sheets) we went back asking for a refund as we wouldn't have stayed for sure

Pleasant owner. Pool was ok, though not enough chairs. Lawn in back of property was well kept. They did respond to my request to get an end room for one of our rooms.
Picnic table in back of property was really gross an old. Though the Gazebo in front was pleasant.
Room was horribly dated. Very horribly dated -- and cleanliness was as good as could be expected with the dowdy nature of the bed covers etc. Pillows old and smelly. Not too important to me, but TV very old. It did seem like they tried to clean well for Covid.
I'm not a prima donna, and this all would have been OK, but
