Dawn Wafer is a licensed and board certified Acupuncturist through the State of California. She received her training and Masters degree at Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. She has 27 years combined in the fields of health wellness and athletics. Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist she was a certified Gymnastics coach and horse trainer.
Let's face it we all love to eat, right? With so much confusion about what is good for us, I can guide and teach you how to eat for your individual body and constitution type. I combine both western and eastern theory and science to your dietary needs. You are as unique on the inside as you are on the outside.
Facial regeneration combines photon light, radio waves, microcurrent, and the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. By using specific acupuncture points on the face, neck and body, meridian points are stimulated by radio wave technology. Radio waves work on a very simple principle: a high frequency microcurrent is generated which penetrates the skin, and moves water molecules.

I would give Dawn 10 stars if I could. Dawn has been treating me for almost a year now, and she has really changed my life in a positive way.
When I had initially started to see her, one of the things that I had shared with her was that I was trying to get pregnant and had been unsuccessful. I dropped this to 00000 stars because I intended to dispute some of her overbilling per her insurance contract, but then she fraudulently charged my card without authorization. Stay away!

This is a mixed review. As a clinician, she's top notch. Though I can't say that I got better, I understand my problem better and am tackling it with different practitioners. Personally, I don't really "believe" in chi, but I love the feel of the needle in my muscle, especially with an electric charge. My lower star rating comes from her billing practices

I have attempted to write a review for Dawn in the past, but have never submitted because there just aren't words to describe her.
As a clinician in western medicine, I have always had an appreciation for "alternative" or eastern philosophy, but was not a believer. Acupuncture was something I prescribed patients as a last resort.
I've since come to find it a crucial component in the healing process for any patient with chronic pain, acute injuries, fertility, and a slew of other ailments.

I had fallen on a Monday and jammed up my shoulder. I had never had a shoulder injury before so I didn't know what to expect. But man was it painful. As a Massage Therapist, if I don't work, I don't make any money, so I knew I had to get back to work asap. I called Dawn up on the day it happened, the soonest she could see me was the VERY next day! So grateful for her flexibility...
In any case she assessed me with a thorough intake process which I appreciated because even though I came in with a specific issue she helped me realize I had other underlying issues that were present

Dawn is fantastic. This was my first foray into acupuncture, so I was a little nervous. She takes the time to really listen. I love that she is always thinking about how she can better treat me~ her knowledge base is amazing but she is always looking to grow. On more than one occasion I have shown up for an appointment and she tells me about the research or consultation she's done to see what she could be doing different to find the right balance in my treatment. I highly recommend giving Dawn a call.
