In the West, Chinese Medicine is best known for its ability to relieve pain and there is now an abundance of research explaining the benefits of acupuncture in the treatment of pain. The list of pain conditions Traditional Chinese Medicine has been proven to treat is long and varied. Acupuncture works by influencing pathways that run along our fascia and contain small energetic points.
Stone needles date back to the time of Fu Xi in the 29th century BCE. Metal needles replaced stone ones during the Warring States Period (475-221 BCE). After nearly 4,000 years, acupuncture remains one of the most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Today about one-third of the World's population uses acupuncture as a primary form of medicine.

I am a Santa Ynez Valley resident and have been lucky enough to benefit from Kristi’s incredible care for over ten years now. She has been my primary care specialist in treating a number of incredibly painful conditions including sciatica, rotator cuff issues, pinched nerves in my back (that traveled down my right arm), meniscus tear, regular stress/anxiety that has led to sleep issues… you name it. And no, I am not a total mess – I am a normal adult in her late 40’s that is going through all the usual trauma that comes with an active life! However, let me be clear: I do not ‘enjoy’

After a year of suffering from chronic sciatica I was referred to Kristi. I was dubious at first but she proved herself a healer in just a few sessions. It's been 3 years and the sciatica has not returned. Currently seeing her for a broken ankle...amazing, immediate relief after each session. Eager to impress my "doctor" with the results.

Kristi has helped me so much through the years. With my knee replacement, she did a technique called threading that helped me heal the scar tissue build-up and left my scar nearly invisible! Kristi’s holistic approach, professionalism and her sense of humor makes seeing her a full healing experience!

Lifesaver! I was visiting the Santa Ynez Valley and threw my back out. I was in such terrible pain... I could not even stand up. I heard about Kristi from a local so I reached out. Kristi stayed late and took me same day. Thank goodness for her kindness. She had to help me out of my car... it was that bad. The treatment was insanely helpful... i will say it was worse before it got better but whatever she did was magic, by the next day I was up right and walking (slowly but walking) and able to enjoy the rest of my trip. I am so grateful for Kristi's help.

After bloodwork showed I had an under active thyroid, my doctor suggested that I see an endocrinologist who could prescribe medication for me. The thought of having to take thyroid meds for the rest of my life didn't sound good to me...and I couldn't get an appointment to see an endocrinologist for 2 months. A friend recommended that I try acupuncture, I was skeptical but I contacted Kristi Hundt anyway. She treated me for 6 weeks (with acupuncture and Chinese herbs), and then I had my bloodwork done again. Much to my surprise the bloodwork showed my thyroid was working, and well
