My experience with Dr. Marvin's office was very refreshing. The amazing new patient coordinator at the front desk was so sweet and kind with my millions of questions. I'm very thankful of how nice the staff was because usually everyone's staff is so rude! The staff there defiantly pulled me in there to become a patient!

My ESG was an epic fail. The stitches came loose after only a short time. I followed all the instructions given to me. I paid over $8000, so of course I wanted it to work. When I found out, via upper GI (more expense) that it didn’t work, I called back he recommended I get the gastric sleeve. Total cost $15,000 😳 no thank you! I found a better place that charges a lot less. So basically I wasted $8000! The staff only had one person that returned calls, everyone else you have to email them and consider yourself lucky if they call you back. Very unprofessional! I would not recommend Dr. Marvin

My experience was great. Dr Marvin and his staff were friendly and professional. They were the only doc I could find that took my ins, and they handled everything for me. They've always returned my emails promptly as well. 1 yr out and I am doing great and happy that I went with Dr. Marvin for my procedure. Thanks!

Dr. Marvin is a very nice doctor. His staff has much to be desired. They do not return calls or emails. I don’t know anymore then when I went in June. I also suggest you check your own insurance because I was told my insurance did not cover it. I paid full price for consult and found out my insurance does cover it.

My husband and I both had the gastric sleeve by Dr. Marvin. My husband did it almost 2 1/2 years ago and I did it 1 year and 1 month ago. Dr. Marvin is very professional, courteous, informative, and has a great bedside manner! He answers his nurses calls after surgery if you need help or have questions after hours and his staff is really nice! Surgery was a success for both of us! Dr. Marvin saved our life!! Together we have lost 220 lbs. so far!!

Meeting Dr. Marvin was a great experience, however, his staff Denise the epitome of RUDE!! February 5th will be a month I visited this office, got blood work done and have yet to get a call back from Dr. Marvin to go over my lab results. Nicole the gatekeeper continue to make excuses for Denise" behavior. I was merely trying to ask what my options would be to pay out of pocket instead of insurance, and I got talked over monotone response and said since I cancelled my procedure because of the treatment I received, I guess I will have to go to another doctor to get my lab results explained to me

I had a great experience with Dr. Marvin. Going on 3 years post-op and other than acid reflux my experience has been outstanding. This really is a "tool" and at the end of the day it is up to the patient to make healthy food choices. I have lost 80+ pounds and now I train/run marathons. I was accepted into the New York City Marathon to compete this November. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Marvin and his staff.

Had a problem with the hospital about the care credit. Staff was really helpful. They worked on it after hours so that I could have the operation on the time I wanted, instead of just delaying it. Especially, Denise was on the phone with me for a million times and the hospital till she finally solved it. I had a good patient experience here.
The operation was one week ago and I am recovering quickly. I was up and almost back to normal in 3 days. Dr. Marvin is good at what he does. Looking forward to losing some serious amount of weight.

I am very pleased with the attention and care I received from Dr. Marvin, prior to and after, my ESG procedure in August, 2016. I am an out of town patient and Dr. Marvin returned phone calls in a timely manner and did not make me feel rushed while speaking with me. His professional expertise is apparent and his bedside manner is through and kind. I also enjoyed working with his office staff, especially Sheila Crenshaw.
I continue to work hard at losing weight and exercising. Feeling fabulous and looking great. This procedure was the best thing for me. So glad I traveled to Houston. I highly recommend

Don't walk RUN. This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with in my life. I asked for a copy of my bloodwork and they said it would take 2 weeks to send over because 35 people were a head of me. Then I went in person and they couldn't give to me because doctor hadn't signed off and he was out of town till end of month. I was not impressed with his beside manner nor post and pre op care. I would suggest looking at other doctors. They were more concerned with getting the actual money then making sure I was following the correct steps to be ready. They say your staff

Dr. Marvin and his staff handled my weight loss needs very professionally and very effectively. I'm coming up on my one year from doing my surgery. I went from 240LB to 192lb. I'm looking to loose 15lbs more pounds. I feel great, my overall health has gotten much better, and I look much better in my eyes anyway.
