Hi, I am Nicole Lewis. My husband Josh and I purchased Pleasant Valley RV park in 2018 from my parents, Roy and Tamie Burns. Pleasant Valley RV Park has been in our family since 2011. Josh and I have 4 boys. It is not uncommon to see our older boys mowing lawns or picking up branches and the younger boys riding in the golf cart helping their dad park campers.
We like that our park feels like a big community. Any weekend you might be invited to a potluck in the Rec. Pleasant Valley RV Park is located in the Central Rocky Mountains on the eastern side of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. We offer breathtaking views, tranquility, and private access to the famed Arkansas River.

Services
Pleasant Valley RV Park is tucked away in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The Arkansas River borders the South side of our park. We have an abundance of beautiful mature trees that give us a welcome shade in the summer. We are surrounded by the sounds of nature. It is not uncommon to see a deer or two munching in the meadow.

We stayed for 10 days in October of 2020. We enjoyed it so much that we spent 3 months this summer. Beautiful campground with lots of shade trees, right on the Arkansas River. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. There is no one like Charlie to get large RVs into their site!! The campground is well maintained with an area of grass for each site. Really enjoyed our summer... Hated to leave.

Small patch of grass at each site not for usage. Full hookups were quite nice. Space backs up to river with a very beautiful nice view and sound of river flowing. Fishing was possible nearby at the common area. Campground hosts were very friendly and experts at directing our parking of camper. Many sites appear to be occupied for the summer season by southerners escaping the heat of Texas. We would stay in the future if the owners actually open the restrooms and showers which are listed as available in the website listing. We had to travel 4 miles to use public restrooms in the state park. No attempt

"WiFi is not guaranteed" is the first thing listed in the handout provided by the owners after you pay. We left early because there was no reliable WiFi and no phone service (with Verizon). The website states that WiFi is included with the RV site so we paid for something we never received. Our deposit was also not returned.
Read all the rules about additional fees including the $5/day electric fee and 4% fee for using a credit card.

This is a relatively small park with mature trees and right next to the magnificent sound and view of the Arkansas River. The owners keep the park very clean and have put significant effort into landscaping and comfortable seating to enjoy the views of the river and surrounding mountains. They have used rock, timbers and planted all over the property to make your stay more enjoyable. We splurged on a river site which was awesome but almost all the sites are fantastic. Wifi was fair but ATT reception was very good for general Internet use. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely, well maintained location on the river. Lots of shade, a playground for the kids and a dog park. My husband and I stayed in the cabin while our son and his family had a space for their RV. We were greeted, directed to our spots and treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality. The cabin was way more then we expected- spacious and comfortable. Thank you so much for the thought and effort you put in to make this such an oasis! May the baby chicks do well and may you have a great summer.
