Closest privately owned campground to Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, and we sell discount tickets! We had a great time! Everyone of our 55 people were amazed at the beauty and cleanliness of your camping facilities. Your group campsite is the best we have ever stayed in. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in having an excellent park for their guests.
They have paid attention to the little details that make the experience very nice. This is a wonderful place to camp. The facilities are kept clean and well supplied. We stayed in the lower campground and it had lots of trees for shade which kept the campgrounds cool. There is not a single thing they could do to make this place better!

Stayed midweek in the first week of September and the place was about half full. We had three sites and they did not put us next to each other. More than that they put us next to the highway and the playground...the least desirable of sites. The highway noise was bothersome. Be sure to ask about what sites are available.
The campground was well maintained and clean. Hospitality lacking.

Great base camp for fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking 14ers and everything else outdoors. Nice camp sites, clean bathroom/showers and a super nice staff. We will be back for sure.
It would be nice to have a hook in the campsites to hang a lantern on but other than that I cant think of anything at all negative. Great place.

Chalk Creek RV/Campground was awesome! Super friendly staff and clean facilities. We needed a 30 Amp extension cord to connect our rv, not a problem. The office had their maintenance man drop one off! Stellar customer service is the rule here. If we are ever in this neck of the woods again, this is where we will stay.

We stayed in the lower camp and it was very nice. Lots of trees, quite, and clean. The women's restrooms were clean, but my husband said they didn't clean the men's. 4 out of 5 days the trash hadn't been taken out and a toilet had overflowed that took days to clean up the toilet and the mess on the floor.

The best camp in Chaffee County. I lived in BV thirty years ago and return to the valley as often as I can. Lived in my tent this summer for several weeks at Chalk Creek Camp and it was a wonderful time. Megan, the owner, and all of the staff (Belle, Wayne, Gabriel and others) are super welcoming and it feels like home. Facilities are always very very clean. Chalk Creek—the hummingbirds, goldfinches, beautiful cottonwoods and actual grass—this is THE CAMP. You will be thankful you found it.

We loved staying here. Managed to get site 31A which overlooks the mountains and trees, just gorgeous! The lower campground is on the creek and has many sites along the water as well as a nice field for tent camping. Laundry facilities were clean and never full. The upper campground is probably better suited to big rigs but many of the spots were more like a parking lot, (no grass, just gravel pull thrus) except 31A and a few others along the runoff creek. The staff was super friendly, the park is well kept and maintained. The wifi and data (tmobile, att, & verizon - we have them all) are terrible

Total scam, not as advertised, campsites are literally piled on top of each other, no privacy, people were loud past 2am, smoke from other people’s fires were blowing in our tent. Showers are not included in price, you pay extra. I’ve been camping since childhood and this was my first bad experience, totally ghetto campground, we checked a day early due to awful experience and they did not return our money, stole our money after we had checked out! Dishonest disrespectful white trash staff. Total thieves!

This is a very clean and quiet place to stay. We were in #28 by the creek and the spot was so level we didn't have to adjust with our slide in camper. Just backed in our truck, set up our chairs and enjoyed the sounds of the creek.
They had a picnic table and fire pit clean and ready to go (take your own wood)
We had electric in the spot and an offer to fill up and dump in another area. (Other spots were full hook ups)
We will plan to be back and stay more than one night.

I was not going to leave a review but after phone call today with camp ground manager Gabe, I would leave negative 10 if an option. We stayed two nights last week. We were told when making the reservation we could check in after 11 am. Showed up just before 11am and lady in the office said $5/hr early check in charge before 1pm. I said "What"!? She said it is stated in the confirmation email and on their website. It is not. We checked in thinking they would just waive it since we had not been informed. We could have stayed an extra 2 hours at previous night's camp ground had we known. Besides,
