Great results from the car wash, however the lady at the front wouldn't even look me in my eye and had a terrible attitude, not sure if it's because of my race or not but she didn't have to be like that, will probably come back

Paid for premium wash, car came out looking worse than when I started. Dirt/tar balls all over the hood and trunk. Tried to use wipers when I left, just smeared all over window. Had to stop by a Chevron to clean the window so I could see.

I've said it before, Five Star Express Car Wash is just that. An express car wash. It is not an auto detail shop. If you want a complete detail, you're going to pay a lot more than six bucks. Or do it the old fashioned way with a bucket and hose in your driveway. The hose and bucket is the method that I employ for our "good" cars. For the Tundra pick-up an auto wash is just fine.

Five Star Express is near my home and for $6 gets is clean enough. They even have free DIY vacuums for your interior after your wash. If I feel the need, I can finish the detail at home, but

The car wash is a big help with our busy schedule. I wish the tire shine would look like it actually applied something to both of our cars. We pay for the gold car wash.. See attached picture and you decide if the tire shine actually worked. Other than that, be careful when entering/exiting the wash. The attendant tends to crowd the cars too close together and when exiting the wash several cars nearly get into rear end collisions.
Please manage this process better. If cars are not pulling out, don't continue sending more cars through causing grid lock and possible rear end collisions when exiting

One of the worst places to wash the car, there is no one to wipe the car after washing, and they also prevent you from entering the bathroom, they say it is theirs only. I do not recommend washing with them

I took my car into Five Star Express car wash yesterday because it was really dirty but the dirt on it was just dust that has settled and then the dew at night had a come down on top of that - an easy enough fix.
When I came out of the car wash and pulled over to look at what they had done, the car was still covered in soap suds, the tailgate was filthy and part of the windshield was so dirty I had to clean it to drive home.
When I got home I had to do a complete re-wash and dry and Windex all the windows. This is pretty time-consuming if you're partially disabled.
I'd have been better

The only thing good about this place is the price. They should rename it "Zero Star Car Wash."

I went on a Friday afternoon and it was very busy. There is only one way in and out of the driveway off of Mission Gorge. I entered, in one line. As I got near to the booth where you pay the line split into two...but there was only one person collecting money and only one way into the car wash, so that did nothing to help the situation.

When I exited the car wash and tried to go around to the vacuum area I had to do some fancy manuevering to get to a vacuum, as they were now using both of

I have to give a 2 star, because I've have used them sporadically for years. It's good for a quick maintenance wash.

But I suggest you pay attention to the wash you pay for, and the wash you get. I paid for their top tier 'Premium', but noticed that the 'deluxe' light was as on as I was going through. The attendant that guides you through had already moved to the vehicle behind me by the time I noticed. So I was unable to get it corrected before the track took me through. I looped back around and told the checkout attendant, they said to head back to the track and

Update May 2021: Okay, the problem has not improved, but gotten worse. Yes, the wash is just $6. But it's still supposed to "wash" the car. Here are pictures of just some of the spots/bird stuff left on my hood, after the $6 wash (I'm taking the pictures in the vacuum stall at the car wash; sorry if it's hard to see with the glare). The entire car is left this unclean. The car had been washed two weeks ago; it's not like it has been parked under a bird's nest for the last 3 years. This likely will be my last time here. Bummer. But it's not getting it clean

Honestly, if you don't take your car here at least once a week, it wont really clean much of anything off your car. It's just good for a basic wash and rinse. I have tried all levels of options for my car and they all weren't to what I expected. Like I said basic wash and rinse to kick off loose dirt it's fine.

My go to place. I get the $11 or $13 wash and its worth it for the extra care. The vacuum is great, cleans up really nicely. The little air tool too (dont know the name, pressure tool?) Really gets the small particles or crumbs out of the corners and hard to reach areas. The staff is friendly and its overall great. Very few times has something been iffy and when it has been, the staff has been nice enough to handle the situation in a professional manner.

I was pretty suspicious of this car wash considering how fast it was going when I went through it I got the $12 Car Wash and it's like I didn't get a wash at all my truck looks exactly the same as when I took it in.

Total rip-off do not go to this place.... it's horrible

Just last week I had had a $200 interior and exterior car detailing so my car was actually almost clean when I brought it in oh, and it's actually kind of rare that I feel this violated by a business because it was just a complete rip-off.

This business is going to have to learn the hard way that you do not

Honestly it's like a 4 star car wash but it's the only place I go to wash my car. It's cheap, my car leaves decently clean, they give out free wipes and the vacuums work pretty good. It's fully drive through and you get out and vacuum your car at the end.

Yes there are some parts of my car that don't get cleaned very good, but it always ends up better than before. The employees are nice and they take Apple Pay, which I like. About 6$ for a basic wash and 8$ if you want triple foam.

Great car wash and very reasonable pricing. Goes by quickly. Vacuums work really well too! Too bad I don't live in east county but its great to know about this place when I'm in the area. The only "con" if you will is when the line is long it does block in the cars getting vacuumed so someone in line needs to make space for cars to back out of there.

It's OK if you want your vehicle cleaned up, but don't expect it to be spotless. I always bring extra towels for when it's finished to dry off and get the missing spots. My vehicles are left wet and a lot of missing spots for me to clean. Honestly a $9 wash leaves me feeling the same as when I do the top wash they have.

Nothing beats hand washing your own car, but if you want a quick wash that will get most your car clean and leaving it wet, this is the place. The vaccum setup is stellar though!

The lady who was working around 3pm on July 31st at Santee location was trying to scam my husband.
He was trying to pay with his Debit card at first, she said "This card is declined " then my husband paid with Cash, After his car get washed , he checked his account and the amount was charged successfully. It means the card wasn't declined, it went through but she pocketed the cash. She was totally lying!
He went back , then she was saying she thought that was a tip---no, my husband paid with cash because she said the card was declined.

This is a great drive thru car wash if you don't mind doing your own vacuuming. The vacuums nominally have a 5 minute limit but there were plenty of open spaces when we were there and nobody rushed us. We choose the $11 "Super" wash. Next time I would probably try one of the cheaper ones, because I still had to clean some dirty runoff on the wheels. The back window also had a film of some sort, probably from one of the waxes. However, overall it was a great wash and a nice place to visit The restrooms were clean.

BEWARE: This Car Wash Damaged My Car

I ran my Escalade (SUV) through this tunnel wash yesterday and their machine damaged my car by ripping one of my brake lights off. I had to ask one of their employees to go back into their machine to find the broken piece (red brake light lens) that was torn off by their washing process. I have the piece, but the light was broken in the process.

The staff did not want to take responsibility but did allow me to fill out an "on site incident report" (the manager has not yet called me back about the damage).

They gave all kinds of excuses, such

No-frills basic wash.

Set a reasonable expectation when you stop by. This isn't the place to get your new car detailed. For 5 to 10 bucks you get most of the dust and bug splatters rinsed off your ride as you sit behind the wheel and coast through the automated lane.

My kid likes the "rainbow soap", as colorful bubbles cascade down the windows. I don't know exactly what the detergents do on a molecular level, but my car is less filthy than before and I didn't have to do much. When you're done, just drive away, or you can spend time at the complimentary vacuum area
