Movable Roots
Our story and the foundation for "Movable Roots" began many years ago growing up in Nogales, Arizona in our own THOW (Tiny Home On Wheels or in our case a mobile home). In the early years, we learned our work ethic, building knowledge, and how to treat customers from our father. In those days, Dad was a General Contractor and had a remodeling business named "Cheatham and Sons".

Our oldest brother, Paul, was the first son to take up Dad's craft. Paul worked for Dad full- time while we tagged along with our tiny tool bags and hammers in our free time from chores and school. This mentoring and "OTJ" training continued through the years to come. For the past 20+ years, we have worked together and individually as company owners in all stages of the residential construction and remodeling business.

These skills will be matched with prioritizing each customers' needs and an unrivaled time management. We are often asked for pricing information. I have wanted a tiny house for nearly five years for my twins and I. When I actually started saving up for one is when I really started to narrow down my list of builders I liked. I live in California, but I didn’t want to limit myself to just what’s near me. I had gone to multiple tiny house events to get a feel for what layout would work best us, what products I thought would work best for long term living, and to see different design styles. I was also keen on having a steel frame, and not every builder works with steel. After compiling this list, searching the internet and Instagram, Movable

This is more of a pre review. As she mentioned in her review, the first tiny house builder I contacted told me what I wanted wasn't feasible and I was floored! I'm a single mom with 16 yo twins boy/girl and he couldn't accommodate my needs? I've lost 3 homes in 7 years the first to divorce and the next to Irma and the last to a family tragedy. I have to split my time with my ex and the kids 50/50 anyway so I don't understand why it would be difficult to get a tiny house for us, but based on the first review I absolutely will be contacting someone at Movable Roots based on their amazing talent and

Movable Roots built our tiny home shell last year and did an amazing job. Not only did they consult with us over every single aspect of the design, they also worked with us to craft the design specifically to our needs as DIY builders and work with our budget. They went above and beyond to make sure that our shell build was perfect for us. They even put barriers in the wall over important pipes so that when we were completing the build ourselves, we couldn't shoot through import pipes with nails. From the design process, to the build, to the delivery, AND the help after the delivery, everything

If you want an amazing Tiny House, this is the builder for you! After researching builders for a couple of years, we decided that Movable Roots was the company we wanted. Their creativity, attention to detail and quality of work was everything we wanted and more. They partnered with us, exploring all the facets of our lives, and built our dream home from the ground up! They're an award winning builder, they're personable, relatable, and honest. They care about their clients, and treat you like family. We've talked to their customers - and every one we spoke with - even unsolicited - had nothing

We spent a great deal of time looking for the perfect builder for our Tiny House on Wheels. One of them actually told us that what we desired was not possible in a Tiny. He recommended a RV. Covid hit and the search for a builder became harder. We saw The Culp at The Central Florida Tiny House Festival and added Movable Roots to our list. When we reached out to Mike and asked if he had any work in progress that we could tour, he informed us that he had nothing in a finishing state in the warehouse but that he had a recent build nearby that we could tour. We met him at an RV park in Melbourne and

Had a great time viewing the models in various stages of construction to my Chinese friends and myself. Nikki was a very congenial host and either answered our questions or obtained the answer promptly. Well worth the visit.
